民数記 27:4（新改訳JSS2017） 「息子がいなかったからといって、なぜ私たちの父の名がその氏族の間から削られるのでしょうか。私たちにも、父の兄弟たちの間で所有地を与えてください。」

ツェロフハデの娘たちはモーセと祭司エルアザルの前で大胆な要求を申し出ました。五人の娘たちでしたが、父には息子がいませんでした。当時のイスラエルでは息子だけが相続を受け取ることができたのですが、ここで大胆にこのことをお願いしました。しかし、彼らは無茶な要求や自分のものではないものを求めていたのではなく、当然受け取るべきものを求めていたのです。これはみことばをとおしてみられます。神は私たちにも多くのものを与えてくださると約束されていることを知っています。「尊く大いなる約束が私たちに与えられています」（２ペテロ 1:4）。でも、私たちが受け取るべき約束を受けることを妨げるものがあるように感じることもあります。まず、私たちの相続分は何であるかを知る必要があります（多くの神様の約束があります）。それから、大胆に私たちは主の前に進み、息子娘として、当然受け取る分を求めることができます。へブル書ではこのように教えてます。「ですから躊躇せず、神の御座に近づいてあわれみを受け、時にかなって与えられる恵みをいただこうではありませんか」（へブル 4:16 JCB）。イエスも私たちに言われました。「祈りも同じです。あきらめずに求め続けなさい。そうすれば与えられます。捜し続けなさい。そうすれば見つかります。戸をたたきなさい。そうすれば開けてもらえます。 10求める人は与えられ、捜す人は見つけ出し、戸をたたく人は開けてもらえるのです」（ルカ11:9-10 JCB）。エペソ書も教えています。「またキリストにあって、私たちは御国を受け継ぐ者となりました。すべてをみこころによる計画のままに行う方の目的にしたがい、あらかじめそのように定められていたのです。17どうか、私たちの主イエス・キリストの神、栄光の父が、神を知るための知恵と啓示の御霊を、あなたがたに与えてくださいますように。18また、あなたがたの心の目がはっきり見えるようになって、神の召しにより与えられる望みがどのようなものか、聖徒たちが受け継ぐものがどれほど栄光に富んだものか、」を受け取りましょう（エペソ1:11,17-18 JSS2017）。

Num 27:4 NIV84 Why should our father’s name disappear from his clan because he had no son? Give us property among our father’s relatives.”

Observation

The daughters of Zelophehad come before Moses, Eleazar the priest and before the Lord to make a bold request.  They are five daughters and their father had no sons.  Normally in Israel, the inheritance goes to the sons and not to the daughters.  However, because there were no sons in their family the daughters make this bold request.  They are not asking or demanding something that is not theirs but what should be rightfully inherited.  As we have seen, God has given us many “great and precious promises.” (see 2Pet 1:4).  But for whatever reason there are obstacles that seem to keep us from receiving our due inheritance.  We must first know what our inheritance is (God’s many promises).  Then we must come boldly before the Lord and ask for what is rightfully ours as his sons and daughters. This is what Hebrews tells us, “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Heb 4:16 NLT).  Jesus also told us, “”And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Luk 11:9-10 NLT).  “Eph 1:11  In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,… that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18  having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.” (Eph 1:11,17-18 ESV)
