民数記　29:12-13(新改訳JSS2017)　 第七の月の十五日には、あなたがたは聖なる会合を開かなければならない。いかなる労働もしてはならない。あなたがたは七日間、主の祭りを祝え。13あなたがたは、主への芳ばしい香り、食物のささげ物として、全焼のささげ物、すなわち、若い雄牛十三頭、雄羊二匹、一歳の雄の子羊十四匹を献げよ。これらは傷のないものでなければならない。

仮庵の祭り（天幕生活を思い起こす祭り）は神の恵みと祝福を祝う大祭りでした。八日間彼らは祝い、他のどの定めの時よりも多くのいけにえがささげられました(8日間で176の全焼のいけにえと8の罪過のいけにえ)。イスラエルが40年間荒野をさまよいながら天幕生活をしましたが、主が忠実に導き、守り、備えてくださいました。この祭りの時は主の善意思いおこし、感謝し、祝う時でありました。約束の地に入り、落ち着いて、一年の周期の中で最もあらゆるものが溢れていた時でありました。一年の収穫と、実りに恵まれた時でした。私たちはいつも感謝し喜ぶべきですが、特に主が良くしてくださったことに感謝を現し、祝うべきであります。「あなたの財産で主をあがめよ。あなたのすべての収穫の初物で。そうすれば、あなたの倉は豊かさで満たされ、あなたの石がめは新しいぶどう酒であふれる」(箴言 3:9-10 JSS2017)。こういうわけで、また、私たちは什一をもって主に感謝を表すのです。「収入の十分の一をすべて倉に携えて来なさい。そうすれば、わたしの神殿には食べ物が十分あるようになる。あなたがたが十分の一をささげれば、わたしはあなたがたのために天の窓を開いて、受け止めることができないほどの 祝福をあふれるばかりに注ごう。試してみなさい。わたしは、そのことを証明しよう。11わたしが穀物を害虫や病害から守るから、あなたがたの収穫は多くなる。ぶどうが熟す前にしぼんでしまうこともない。」 (マラキ 3:10-11 JCB)。どのように、主の良くしてくださったことを感謝し、祝いますか?

Num 29:12-13 NIV84 “‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Celebrate a festival to the LORD for seven days. 13 Present an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, a burnt offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.

Observation

The Festival of Tabernacles (or Booths) was a major celebration of the goodness of God and all of his blessings. Through the 8 days of celebration, they offered abundantly more sacrificial offerings than at any other designated time (176 burnt offerings and 8 sin offerings.) This festival commemorated their dwelling in tents for 40 years of wilderness wanderings during which time the Lord faithfully led, protected, and provided for them.  This was a time of thanksgiving and remembering the goodness of the Lord. Once they are in the land and in a cycle of life, it would be the culmination of the year’s work, with harvests and increase of cattle and stock.  We are to be thankful and always rejoice in God’s goodness, but there should be special times which we set aside to celebrate and express our gratitude to God for all that he has done for us.   “Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” (Pro 3:9-10 NIV84).  This is also why we are to express our gratefulness to the Lord with our tithes, “Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams. 11 For my part, I will defend you against marauders, protect your wheat fields and vegetable gardens against plunderers.” The Message of GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies.” (Mal 3:10-11 MSG).
