詩篇78:5-7(新改訳 JSS2017)　 主は　ヤコブのうちにさとしを置き　イスラエルのうちにみおしえを定め　私たちの先祖に命じて　その子らに教えるようにされた。　6後の世代の者　生まれてくる子らがこれを知り　さらに彼らが　その子らにまた語り告げるため　7彼らが神に信頼し　神のみわざを忘れず　その命令を守るために。

コメント

神のおきてとみおしえを語り伝えいることはその教えを語るだけではなく、主がいかに私たちを導き、守り、備え、その道を教えてくださったことを伝えることです。特に私たちの子どもや孫にまでそれを語り伝えるべきであるとさとしています。それは、次の世代の者も主なる神を生きた、個人的な神であることを知り、体験できるためです。七節で英語の別の違約では、「このようにして、全ての世代にわたって、いのちのおきてに生きた信仰を持ち、神は忠実なお方であり、その道も誠実であることを忘れることがないように」 とあります（詩篇22:31; 71:18; 102:18; 145:4なども参照）。どのように次の世代に神の御業と教えを伝えることができるでしょうか。

Psa 78:5-7 NLT  For He issued His laws to Jacob; He gave His instructions to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, 6 so the next generation might know them—even the children not yet born—and they in turn will teach their own children. 7 So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting His glorious miracles and obeying His commands.

Observation

Testifying to what God has done for us and how he has led, guided, protected, provided, and instructed us in His ways.  We are especially admonished to pass on these to our children and their children, so that each generation can know and experience the living and personal God.  The Passion Translation says, “In this way, every generation will have a living faith in the laws of life and will never forget the faithful ways of God.” (v.7 TPT; see also Psa 22:31; 71:18; 102:18; 145:4 etc.) How can we pass on to the next generations the ways and faithfulness of God?
