詩篇82:8 （リビングバイブルJCB）　ああ神よ、立ち上がって、この世をさばいてください。地にあるものはみな神のもので、諸国はあなたの手の中にあります。

コメント

主なる神は全世界を公平と正義をもってさばかれるお方です（創世記 18:25; 詩篇58:11; 98:9なども参照）。人の間にこの地上で立てられる政府は抑制と均衡を保ち三権分立というものを実施します。行政府、立法府、司法府などに分けます。しかし、主なる神は全き義なる神、公平（公正）の神であり、同時に王であり、立法者であり、さばき主でもあります。そして、この地上を治める者にその権威を分け与えています。ゆえに、私たちは上に立てられている者のために祈るようにと教えられています。「すべての重い責任を負っている人たちのために祈りなさい。それは、私たちが主を深く思いながら、平安のうちに落ち着いた一生を過ごすためです。 3そうするのはたいへん良いことで、救い主である神に喜んでいただけることです」（1テモテ2:2-3 JCB）。この詩篇では司法府に立てられ、さばく者に特に注目しています。彼らはみな、すべての権威者と同じく神からその権威を委ねられ、かならず、全地をさばかれるお方の前で言い開きをしなければならない時が来ます。イエスは不正な裁判官がいても、その不正なさばきを祈りをもって神に訴え、それをくつがえさせることもできると教えました（ルカ18:1-8参照）。神は義なるお方、誠実な公平な審判者であり、いつでも、天と地の最高法廷に訴えることができることをいつも覚えておきましょう。

Psa 82:8 TPT All rise! For God now takes his place as judge of all the earth. Don’t you know that everything and everyone belongs to him? The nations will be sifted in his hands!

Observation

God is the Judge of All the Earth (see Gen 18:25; also Psa 58:11; 98:9 etc.). Among men and governments on earth, to maintain a balance of power and to allow checks and balances, a separation of power by the independence of the branches of government are established.  However God is All Righteous and completely just.  He is king (executive branch), lawgiver (legislative branch) and judge (judicial branch). But he has given these authorities to man to rule on earth.  We are told to “Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior.” (1Tim 2:2-3 NLT).  This Psalm deals specifically with the judicial branch and those who exercise authority as judges.  They will be held accountable (as all those in authority will be).  Jesus showed that even when there are unjust judges on the earth, God is able to overrule them in response to our prayers (see Luke 18:1-8).  Let’s always remember that God himself is the Righteous and Just Judge of all the earth and we can always appeal to the highest court of heaven and earth to bring justice.
