エゼキエル 5:13（新改訳 JDB）　わたしの怒りが出し尽くされると、わたしは彼らに対する憤りを収めて満足する。わたしが彼らに対する憤りを終わらせたとき、彼らは、主であるわたしが、ねたみをもって語ったことを知る。

主なる神はあわれみに満ちた恵み深い神でありますが、この主なる神は同時に義なる神であり、公正の神であり、その恵みとあわれみを拒否する者に対して、復讐を晴らし、公正と正義のさばきを実行される神であることを決して忘れてはなりません。主は初めから、イスラエルの民に対して、主は正義を求め、報われると約束されました。「復讐と報復はわたしのもの。それは彼らの足がよろめくときのため。彼らのわざわいの日は近く、来たるべき時が速やかに来る。」 主は御民をかばい、主のしもべらをあわれまれる。彼らの力が去り、奴隷も自由の者も　いなくなるのをご覧になって。」（申命記 32:35-36 JDB; 32:39-43も参照）。詩篇はこのように宣言しています。「義と公正は　あなたの王座の基。恵みとまことが御前を進みます」（詩篇89:14; 33:5も参照）。ゆえに、今が主の前に来て、そのいつくしみと恵みを受ける時です。パウロは旧約聖書を引用してこのように言いました。「私たちは神とともに働く者として、あなたがたに勧めます。神の恵みを無駄に受けないようにしてください。神は言われます。「恵みの時に、わたしはあなたに答え、救いの日に、あなたを助ける。」　見よ、今は恵みの時、今は救いの日です」（2コリント 6:1-2 JDB）。

Eze 5:13 (ESV) “Thus shall my anger spend itself, and I will vent my fury upon them and satisfy myself. And they shall know that I am the LORD—that I have spoken in my jealousy—when I spend my fury upon them.

(MSG) “Only then will I calm down and let my anger cool. Then you’ll know that I was serious about this all along, that I’m a jealous God and not to be trifled with.

Observation

Although the Lord God is a merciful God and full of grace, yet we must never forget that he is also a Righteous and Just God who will take vengeance and judgment against all who refuse his gracious and merciful hand. The Lord promised Israel from the very beginning that his justice would require full recompense. “Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the time when their foot shall slip; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and their doom comes swiftly.’ 36 For the LORD will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone and there is none remaining, bond or free.” (Deut 32:35-36 ESV; see also 32:39-43). The Psalms declare, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.” (Psa 89:14; see also Psa 33:5). Now is the time to come to him to receive his steadfast love and faithfulness. Paul quotes the OT to tell us. “Working together with him, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2Cor 6:1-2 ESV).
