エゼキエル 6:8-10 (リビングバイブル JCB) しかし、わたしは、あなたがたのうちのある者を残しておく。あなたがたが諸国に追い散らされるとき、剣から逃れる者たちを国々の中に残す。9あなたがたのうちで逃れた者たちは、捕虜になって行った国々で、わたしから離れた彼らの姦淫の心と、偶像を慕う彼らの姦淫の目に、わたしがどんなに傷ついたかを思い起こす。自分たちのした悪や、あらゆる忌み嫌うべきことを、彼ら自らが嫌うようになるとき、10彼らは、わたしが主であること、また、わたしが理由もなく、このわざわいを彼らに下すと言ったのではないことを知る。』」

コメント

主のさばきと懲らしめの目的は私たちを主に連れ戻すためです。この章では四回くりかえし言っています、「彼らは、わたしが主であること…を知る」。イスラエルとユダの偶像礼拝と霊的姦淫のために主はさばきをもたらしていますが、そのただ中にあっても、「しかし、わたしは、あなたがたのうちのある者を残しておく。あなたがたが諸国に追い散らされる」と約束しています。ハバククはこの主の心を知って祈りました。「激しい怒りの内にも、あわれみを忘れないでください」（ハバクク 3:2 JDB）。エレミヤもこのように言いました。「たとえ、彼に悩みを与える場合でも、主は恵み深いお方ですから、忘れずにあわれみをかけてくれます」（哀歌 3:32 JCB）。主のさばきと怒りを注がれるときにも、懲らしめを与える時、その心はここに書かれています。「あなたがたは神の勧めを忘れていないでしょうか。神は、このように声をかけてくださっているのです。「わが子よ。主の懲らしめを、軽く考えてはならない。主の叱責に、気落ちしてはならない。6主が懲らしめるのは、あなたが憎いからではなく、あなたを愛しているからである。主がむち打つのは、あなたが真に神の子どもだからである。」（箴言3：11-12参照） 7進んで神の訓練を受けなさい。神は、父親として当然のことを、子どものあなたがたにしておられるのです」（へブル12:5-7　JCB）。

Eze 6:8-10 (NLT)  “But I will let a few of My people escape destruction, and they will be scattered among the nations of the world. 9 Then when they are exiled among the nations, they will remember Me. They will recognize how hurt I am by their unfaithful hearts and lustful eyes that long for their idols. Then at last they will hate themselves for all their detestable sins. 10 They will know that I alone am the LORD and that I was serious when I said I would bring this calamity on them.

Observation

The purpose of punishment and correction is to bring us back to the Lord.  Four times in this chapter the Lord repeats, “…They will know that I am the Lord”  In the midst of the judgment poured out on Judah and Israel especially for their idolatry and spiritual adultery, the Lord still promises to keep a remnant, “I will let a few of My people escape destruction, and they will be scattered among the nations of the world.”  Habakkuk prays, “And as you bring judgment, as you surely must, remember mercy.” (Hab 3:2 MSG)  “Though He brings grief, He also shows compassion because of the greatness of His unfailing love.” (Lam 3:32 NLT). Here is the Lord’s heart and purpose for discipline and chastisement: “And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as His children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the LORD’s discipline, and don’t give up when He corrects you. 6 For the LORD disciplines those He loves, and He punishes each one He accepts as His child.” 7 As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as His own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?” (Heb 12:5-7 NLT)
