エゼキエル 22:2-4 （新改訳SKY2017）　「人の子よ、あなたはさばくのか。この流血の都をさばくのか。それなら、この都にその忌み嫌うべきわざを残らず告げ知らせて、3このように言え。『神である主はこう言われる。自らのただ中で血を流して自分の刑罰の時を招き、自らのために偶像を造って自分を汚す都よ。4 おまえは自分が流した血で咎を負う者となり、自分が造った偶像で身を汚し、自分の日を近づかせ、自分の年を来させた。だから、わたしはおまえを国々のそしりの的とし、すべての国の笑いぐさとする。

主なる神は忍耐深く、あわれみ深い神ですが、愛の神だからと言って、私たちの罪を裁くことはないと思っていたらおお間違えです。早かれ遅かれ、必ず、報いの時と決済の日がやってきます。他の人をさばきながら、自分を容赦しやすいです。しかし、自分を吟味し、自らをさばかなければ、必ずさばきの時がやってきます。「ですから、すべて他人をさばく者よ、あなたに弁解の余地はありません。あなたは他人をさばくことで、自分自身にさばきを下しています。さばくあなたが同じことを行っているからです。2そのようなことを行う者たちの上に、真理に基づいて神のさばきが下ることを、私たちは知っています。3そのようなことを行う者たちをさばきながら、同じことを行っている者よ、あなたは神のさばきを免れるとでも思っているのですか。4 それとも、神のいつくしみ深さがあなたを悔い改めに導くことも知らないで、その豊かないつくしみと忍耐と寛容を軽んじているのですか」（ローマ 2:1-4 SKY2017）。また、パウロは警告しています。「思い違いをしてはいけません。神は侮られるような方ではありません。人は種を蒔けば、刈り取りもすることになります。8自分の肉に蒔く者は、肉から滅びを刈り取り、御霊に蒔く者は、御霊から永遠のいのちを刈り取るのです。9失望せずに善を行いましょう。あきらめずに続ければ、時が来て刈り取ることになります」（ガラテヤ 6:7-9 SKY2017）。でも、以前はそうであったとしても、主イエスの血と恵みによって新しく造り変えられています。「あなたがたは知らないのですか。正しくない者は神の国を相続できません。思い違いをしてはいけません。淫らな行いをする者、偶像を拝む者、姦淫をする者、男娼となる者、男色をする者、8盗む者、貪欲な者、酒におぼれる者、そしる者、奪い取る者はみな、神の国を相続することができません。9あなたがたのうちのある人たちは、以前はそのような者でした。しかし、主イエス・キリストの御名と私たちの神の御霊によって、あなたがたは洗われ、聖なる者とされ、義と認められたのです」（1コリント 6:7-9 SKY2017）。

Eze 22:2-4 (NLT)  “Son of man, are you ready to judge Jerusalem? Are you ready to judge this city of murderers? Publicly denounce her detestable sins, 3 and give her this message from the Sovereign LORD: O city of murderers, doomed and damned—city of idols, filthy and foul— 4 you are guilty because of the blood you have shed. You are defiled because of the idols you have made. Your day of destruction has come! You have reached the end of your years. I will make you an object of mockery throughout the world.

Observation

The Lord God is merciful and longsuffering, but we continue in our sin because we think he is too loving to judge us, we are greatly mistaken.  There is coming a time of recompense and reckoning coming when all will be judged whether sooner or later.  It is easy to judge others and overlook our own sins.  But when we do not judge ourselves, we will be judged. “You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2 Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. 3 So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? 4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance?” (Rom 2:1-4 NIV84).  Paul also warns, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Gal 6:7-9 NIV84). But let’s also remember that even though that is what we once did, we have been changed and renewed. “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1Cor 6:9-11 NIV84).
