エゼキエル 24:13-14（新改訳SKY2017）　「あなたの汚れは淫らな行いだ。それでわたしはあなたをきよめようとしたが、あなたはきよくなろうともしなかった。あなたは、わたしがあなたに対する憤りを収めるまで、自分の汚れから決してきよくならない。14主であるわたしは言った。それは必ず起こる。わたしはそれを行ってなおざりにせず、惜しまず、思い直しもしない。あなたの生き方と行いにしたがって、あなたはさばかれる──神である主のことば。」

コメント

主はエゼキエルにもう一つの描写を示して、来ようとしている神の怒りを表しています。それは火にかけられる鍋です。中身がすべてなくなるまで燃やし続け、鍋が真っ赤になり、きよめられるためです。主なる神はあわれみ深い、忍耐深いお方でありますが、それはいつまでも続くのではありません。罪と悪に対する怒りとさばきが注がれるときが来ます。「神がどれだけ忍耐しておられるか、わからないのですか。それとも、そんなことは気にもかけていないのですか。神があなたを罰しもせず、長いあいだ待っていてくださったのは、罪から離れるのに必要な時間を与えるためでした。神の愛は、あなたを悔い改めに導くためのものです。5ところが、どうでしょう。あなたは耳を貸そうともしません。強情をはり、罪から離れようとしません。こうして、神の御怒りをどんどん積み上げているのです。神が裁判官として立ち、すべての人を正しくさばかれる、御怒りの日が近づいているのです。8けれども、神の真理に逆らい、不正な道を歩む人には、恐ろしい罰が下ります。神の怒りは、そのような人々に注がれるのです。 9罪を犯し続ける人には、ユダヤ人にも外国人にも、同じように悲しみと苦しみが降りかかります」（ローマ2:4-5、8-9 JCB）。神の怒りとさばきが注がれる日が近づいています。必ず来きます。しかし、いまは、主が忍耐を持ってあわれみを示そうと待っています。主は一人も不必要に滅びることを願っていません。「再び主がおいでになるという約束がなかなか実現しないので、いったいどうなっているのかと思うかもしれません。しかし主は、いたずらに日を延ばしておられるのではありません。一人でも滅びないように、すべての人が悔い改めるために必要な時間を与えようと、忍耐して待っておられるのです。 10しかし主の日は、盗人のように、思いがけない時にやって来ます。その時、天は恐ろしいとどろきと共に消えうせ、天体は焼けて崩れ落ち、地と地上のすべてのものは跡形もなく焼き滅ぼされてしまいます。 11このように、これらのものがみな滅び去るのですから、私たちはどれほどきよく、敬虔な生活を送らなければならないことでしょう」（2ペテロ 3:9-11 JCB）。今が主に帰るときです。今日は救いの日です。「神様はこう言われるからです。「恵みの時に、あなたの叫びはわたしに届いた。救いが差し出されている日に、わたしはあなたを助けた。まさしく今、神様はあなたを喜び迎えようとしておられます。今日、あなたを救おうとしておられます」（2コリント6:2 JCB）。

Eze 24:13-14 NLT  Your impurity is your lewdness and the corruption of your idolatry. I tried to cleanse you, but you refused. So now you will remain in your filth until My fury against you has been satisfied. 14 “I, the LORD, have spoken! The time has come, and I won’t hold back. I will not change My mind, and I will have no pity on you. You will be judged on the basis of all your wicked actions, says the Sovereign LORD.”

Observation

The Lord gives Ezekiel one more picture of the impending wrath that is about to come on Jerusalem.  It is a pot put on a fire and burned dry until everything in the pot is burnt to a crip and the pot turns red with heat.  The purpose is to cleanse the pot.  The Lord is merciful and patient, but it does not continue forever.  There will come a time when he will no longer hold back but pour out judgment on wickedness and sin.  “Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that His kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? 5 But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. 8 But He will pour out His anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness. 9 There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.” (Rom 2:4-5,8-9 NLT).  The day of judgment and pouring out of wrath is coming.  It will absolutely come.  But the Lord is waiting now because He is merciful and does not want anyone to perish unnecessarily.  “The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed but wants everyone to repent. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment. 11 Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live.” (1Pet 3:9-11 NLT). Today is the day to repent and turn to the Lord for salvation. “As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. 2 For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.” (2Cor 6:1-2 NLT)
