ローマ 7:14,15,19（リビングバイブルJCB）　本来、律法は霊的なものであり、問題はむしろ罪ある私にあります。私は、罪という主人に、奴隷として売り渡されているのです。15私は自分のしていることがわかりません。ほんとうは正しいことをしたいのに、できないのです。反対に、したくないこと、憎んでいることをしてしまいます。19良いことをしたいと思ってもできず、悪いことをしないように努めても、どうしてもやめられません。

コメント

他の箇所ではパウルがキリストにあって変革されていることを説明しています。「だれでもキリストのうちにあるなら、その人は新しく造られた者です。古いものは過ぎ去って、見よ、すべてが新しくなりました」（2コリント5:17 SKY 2017）。しかし、全てのクリスチャンはパウロがここで説明しているこの罪と罪の欲望とのかっとうを体験したことがあるでしょう。パウロは先ではこのジレンマの解決を述べてくださいます。でも、まず、私たちが何と戦っているのかを認めなければなりません。それは神と神の義に対して反抗している罪と罪の性質、アダムから受け継いだものであることを認めなければなりません。律法は神の義の標準、罪を示すために与えられました。キリストとキリストの贖いのわざなくして私たちはまったくみじめなものです。だから、パウロも叫びました。「ああ、私はなんとみじめで哀れな人間でしょう。いったいだれが、この悪い性質の奴隷状態から解放してくれるのでしょうか。」（24節 JCB）。そして、宣言しています。「しかし、主イエス･キリストのゆえに、ただ神に感謝します。キリストによって、私は解放されました。この方が自由の身にしてくださったのです（25節 JCB）。私たちが直面している、このどうしようもないジレンマに対するどれほど驚くべき素晴らしい解決があるかをこれから見てみます。

Rom 7:14,15,19 (NLT)  So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. 15 I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. 19 I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway.

Observation

Elsewhere Paul describes our transformation in Christ, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2Cor 5:17 NIV84).  And yet every Christian has experienced this same conflict with sin and sinful desires, which Paul describes in his own life.  Paul will go on and give us the answer to this dilemma.  But first we must recognize what it is with which we are contending.  It is the sin and fallen nature that is within us which rebels against God and his righteousness, which we have inherited from Adam.  The Law is God’s righteous standard which he has given to expose that sin. Without Christ and his redeeming work, we are utterly wretched. Paul shouts out, “What a wretched man I am!” (v.24 NIV84)  The New Living Translation says it this way, “Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?” (NLT) Then he declares, “Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord.” (v.25 NLT).  We will see what an amazing answer there is to this dilemma that we all face.
