今日のことば

ゼカリヤ 10:1 （新改訳SKY17）　主に雨を求めよ、後の雨の時に。主は稲光を造り、大雨を人々に、野の草をすべての人に下さる。

イスラエルが約束の地に入るときに主は約束しました。「わたしは時にかなって、あなたがたの地に雨、初めの雨と後の雨をもたらす。あなたは穀物と新しいぶどう酒と油を集めることができる。また、わたしはあなたの家畜のため野に草を与える。あなたは食べて満ち足りる」 （申命記11:14-15 SKY17）。しかし、この約束は条件付きでした。「もしわたしが今日あなたがたに命じる命令、すなわち、あなたがたの神、主を愛し、心を尽くし、いのちを尽くして仕えよという命令に、あなたがたが確かに聞き従うなら．．．」（13節 SKY）。また、警告もしました。「気をつけなさい。あなたがたの心が惑わされ横道に外れて、ほかの神々に仕え、それを拝むことのないように。そうでないと、主の怒りがあなたがたに向かって燃え上がり、主が天を閉ざし、雨は降らず、地はその産物を出さなくなる」（16-17節 SKY17）。で

すから、雨の季節になっても、雨が降らなければ、私たちはまず主なる神に立ち返り、主を切に求めなければなりません。「春の雨の季節には、主に雨を求めよ」（新共同訳）。ホセアも言っています。「私たちは知ろう。主を知ることを切に追い求めよう。主は暁のように確かに現れ、大雨のように私たちのところに来られる。地を潤す、後の雨のように」（ホセア 6:3 SKY17; ヨエル 2:23-24も参照）。イエスも教えてくれました。「求めなさい（求め続けなさい）。そうすれば与えられます。探しなさい（探し続けなさい）。そうすれば見出します。たたきなさい（たたき続けなさい）。そうすれば開かれます。だれでも、求める者は受け、探す者は見出し、たたく者には開かれます」（マタイ7:7-8 SKY17）。今は、日本に主の訪れと臨在な雨の時が来てます。祈り求めましょう。「神は言われます。「恵みの時に、わたしはあなたに答え、救いの日に、あなたを助ける。」見よ、今は恵みの時、今は救いの日です」（2コリント6:2 SKY17）。

Zec 10:1 (NLT) Ask the LORD for rain in the spring, for He makes the storm clouds. And He will send showers of rain so every field becomes a lush pasture.

Observation

The Lord had promised, “He will send the rains in their proper seasons—the early and late rains—so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil. 15 He will give you lush pastureland for your livestock, and you yourselves will have all you want to eat.” (Deut 11:14-15 NLT).  But this promise was also conditional, “If you carefully obey all the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the LORD your God and serve Him with all your heart and soul, then…” (v.13)  And He also warned, “But be careful. Don’t let your heart be deceived so that you turn away from the LORD and serve and worship other gods. 17 If you do, the LORD’s anger will burn against you. He will shut up the sky and hold back the rain, and the ground will fail to produce its harvests.” (v.16-17 NLT).  So if it is the season for the spring rains and there is still no rain, we first must return to the Lord and seek to follow after the Lord.  But then we are instructed to “Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain.” (ESV)  Hosea also says, “Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hos 6:3 ESV; see also Joel 2:23-24).  Jesus also instructed us, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matt 7:7-8 NLT) Now is the time to ask for the rain of God’s favor and grace and salvation for us and for Japan.  “For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” (2Cor 6:2 NIV84).
