ゼカリヤ 14:20-21（新改訳SKY17）　その日、馬の鈴の上には「主への聖なるもの」と刻まれ、主の宮の中の鍋は祭壇の前の鉢のようになる。21エルサレムとユダのすべての鍋は、万軍の主への聖なるものとなる。いけにえを献げる者はみなやって来て、その一つを取ってそれで煮るようになる。その日、万軍の主の宮にはもう商人がいなくなる。

コメント

主は聖なるお方であり、主の前にあるものはすべて、聖別され、聖くあらなければなりません。旧約において、聖なるものとそうではないものとはっきり区別されました。ゼカリヤはやがて、すべてのものが主の前で、きよめられ、「主への聖なるもの」とされるときが来ると言っています。それは、汚れたもの、悪、罪などがもはやそうではないという意味ではなく、主なる神はきよめられる方法を備えてくださるということです。イエスは十字架の御業によって、私たちを神から隔てている壁（幕）が取り除かれました。今、「新しい、生ける道を開いてくださいました」ので、私たちは御前に進むことができるのです（へブル10:19-20参照）。主はペテロに言いました。「神がきよめたものを、あなたがきよくないと言ってはならない」（使徒の働き10:15 SKY17）。それは、「このみこころにしたがって、イエス・キリストのからだが、ただ一度だけ献げられたことにより、私たちは聖なるものとされています」（へブル10:10 SKY17）。それゆえ、「主イエス・キリストの御名と私たちの神の御霊によって、あなたがたは洗われ、聖なる者とされ、義と認められたのです」（1コリント6:11 SKY17）とあります。私たちは「主への聖なるもの」と刻まれた者となりましょう。

Zec 14:20-21 (NIV84)  On that day HOLY TO THE LORD will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, and the cooking pots in the LORD’s house will be like the sacred bowls in front of the altar. 21 Every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy to the LORD Almighty, and all who come to sacrifice will take some of the pots and cook in them. And on that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD Almighty.

Observation

The Lord is Holy.  In the OT there was a clear distinction between that which was Holy to the Lord and that which was not, secular or uncommon. Zechariah is declaring that there is coming a time when everything will be declared “Holy to the Lord”.  This does not mean that uncleanness, wickedness or sin will now be okay but rather, everything and everyone will be cleansed and made holy by the Lord.  Jesus broke down the wall of separation and the veil that keeps us from the Holy God.  We were not able to come before him on our own righteousness but now “by a new and living way” we are able to come before him and are declared “Holy” (see Heb 10:19-22). The Lord told Peter, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”  And now, “You were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”(1Cor 6:11 NIV84)  Hebrews says, “And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Heb 10:10 ESV).  Let’s “Holy To The Lord” be written on us also.
