２テモテ 3:1-4（新改訳SKY17）　終わりの日には困難な時代が来ることを、承知していなさい。2そのときに人々は、自分だけを愛し、金銭を愛し、大言壮語し、高ぶり、神を冒瀆し、両親に従わず、恩知らずで、汚れた者になります。3また、情け知らずで、人と和解せず、中傷し、自制できず、粗野で、善を好まない者になり、4人を裏切り、向こう見ずで、思い上がり、神よりも快楽を愛する者にな（る）。

コメント

パウロはテモテに警告しています。これから困難な、険悪な、大変な時がやってきます。ここでつかわれている「困難」ということばは他のところで、イエスが悪霊に捕らわれていた人について 「狂暴」とも訳されています。暴力的、苦難、耐えがたい、苦しい時と言う意味も含まれています。パウロはなぜこのような時となるかを表しています（２－４せつをもう一度読んでみましょう）。その逆は「神を愛する者」です。この困難で、耐えがたい時を生き抜くためには神を愛する者、神の道に歩む者となることです。イエスがどの戒めが最も大切であるかと聞かれたときには、答えました。「あなたは心を尽くし、いのちを尽くし、知性を尽くし、力を尽くして、あなたの神、主を愛しなさい。』第二の戒めはこれです。『あなたの隣人を自分自身のように愛しなさい。』これらよりも重要な命令は、ほかにありません」（マルコ 12:30-31　SKY17）。この終わりの時代に二つのグループの人々が存在するのです。黙示録の最後に御使いがヨハネに言いました。「不正を行う者には、ますます不正を行わせ、汚れた者は、ますます汚れた者とならせなさい。正しい者には、ますます正しいことを行わせ、聖なる者は、ますます聖なる者とならせなさい」（黙示録 22:11 SKY17）。どちらに属していますか？

Observation

Paul warns Timothy that the days ahead are going to be difficult, perilous, terrible times.  This word is used to describe the demoniac in Matt 8.  It means, wild, violent, grievous, hard to bear, distressing times.  Paul goes on to describe what will make it that way (read the list in v.2-4 again). The opposite is to be “lovers of God”.  This is how we are to live in these perilous, difficult times.  When asked what the most important commandment is, Jesus answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31 NIVV84)  These are the two different groups that will be in the last days.  At the end of Revelations, the angel tells John, “Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.” (Rev 22:11 ESV).  Which group are we in?
