今日のことば

２テモテ 3:16-17（リビングバイブルJCB）　神の霊感によって書かれた聖書は、何が真理であり、何が悪であるかをよく教えてくれます。また、私たちの生活をまっすぐにし、正しいことを行う力を与えてくれます。 17こうして神は、私たちをあらゆる点で整え、どんな良い働きをも行う力を、十分に与えてくださるのです。

コメント

神のみことばは神の霊感を受けていると言っていますが、原語のことばには「神の息吹によって」できたという意味が含まれています。まさに神のことばは神によって息吹かれたということができます。そのゆえ、へブル書が言っています。「神のことばは生きていて、力があります。それは鋭い刃のように切れ味がよく、心の奥深くに潜んでいる思いや欲望にまでメスを入れ、私たちの赤裸々な姿をさらけ出します」（へブル４:１２ JCB）。ダビデは言いました。「主のおしえを喜びとし　昼も夜も　そのおしえを口ずさむ人。その人は　流れのほとりに植えられた木。時が来ると実を結び　その葉は枯れず　そのなすことはすべて栄える。　(詩篇 1:2-3 SKY17)。そしてまた言いました。「どれほど私が、そのおことばを愛していることか。一日中、そのことばかり思い巡らしているのです」（詩篇 119:97 JCB）。神のみことばをもっと愛し、もっとなじみ、もっと神の息吹に生かされましょう。

2Ti 3:16-17 (NIV84)  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Observation

A very unique word is used to describe the inspiration of the Bible.  Only used here once in the NT.  It involves both the Spirit (breath) of God and the spoken word of God. The Scriptures (Word of God) is Divine in its origin and existence.  That is why it is living and powerful.  “For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.” (Heb 4:12 AMP).  David expressed his love and desire to know the Word of God. “But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.” (Psa 1:2-3 NIV84)  “O how I love and treasure the revelation of your word; throughout the day I fill my heart with its light!” (Psa 119:97 TPT; see all of Psa 119)
