ヨシュア記 18:1-2 （新改訳SKY17）　イスラエルの子らの全会衆はシロに集まり、そこに会見の天幕を建てた。この地は彼らに服していたが、イスラエルの子らの中に、相続地を割り当てられていない七部族が残っていた。

モーセの幕屋はイスラエルと共に長年間荒野を旅してこられました。イスラエルが最初にカナンの地に入ったとき、ギルガルで宿営を設けました。ここで幕屋も立てられて、カナンの地を征服するまで、ここにとどまっていました。カナンの軍事同盟が打ち破られ約束の地の支配を手に入れてから、シロに幕屋が移されました。そして、ペリシテ人によって契約の箱がうばわれるまではそこに残りました(1サムエル4-6参照)。それから、数回幕屋が移されましたが、最終的にソロモンの神殿に組み込まれました（1列王記 8:4参照）。それはイスラエルの生活の中心とされて、主に出会うために上って行かれたところでありました（ヨシュア記 21:2; 1サムエル記1:3; 3:21 など参照）。シロからソロモンの神殿に統合されるまでの間に、ダビデの幕屋がシオンの山に建てられて、契約の箱だけを宿すことになりました(2サムエル 6; 1歴代誌 15参照)。モーセの幕屋の別名の一つは「会見の幕屋」(神との出会いの場所)として知られていて、130回以上使われている表現です（出エジプト記 39:32,40; 1列王記 8:4など参照）。今は、私たちはどこかの指定の場所に行って主なく神と出会うことは必要ではありません。しかし、私たちは神との出会いの場所を設定することが大事です。詩篇の著者はこのように言いました。「私のたましいは　神を 生ける神を求めて　渇いています。いつになれば　私は行って 神の御前に出られるのでしょうか (別訳：出会うことができるでしょうか)」（詩篇42:2 SKY17）。

Jos 18:1-2 NIV84  The whole assembly of the Israelites gathered at Shiloh and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The country was brought under their control, 2 but there were still seven Israelite tribes who had not yet received their inheritance.

Observation

The Tabernacle of Moses was moved along with the camp of Israel as they traveled through the wilderness for many years.  When the Israelites first entered the land of Canaan and set up camp at Gilgal.  This is where the Tabernacle would have also been while Israel conquered and took possession of the land as their promised inheritance.  Now that the military alliances of the land are defeated and Israel takes control, they move the Tabernacle to Shiloh, where it is set up permanently until the Ark is captured by the Philistines (see 1Sam 4-6). The Tabernacle is moved several times until it is incorporated into the Temple of Solomon (see 1King 8:4). It is always at the center of Israel’s life and where they would go to seek or meet the Lord. (see Josh 21:2; 1Sam 1:3; 3:21) It is during this interim time that David sets up the Tabernacle of David at Mt. Zion, that is, the resting place for the Ark of the Covenant. Another name for the Tabernacle was, “The Tent of Meeting” (Exo 39:32,40; 1Kings 8:4).  We do not now have to go to a physical place to meet the Lord but we should still have a place that we can meet with the Him. Psalmist asks, “My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” (Psa 42:2  NIV84)
