1歴代誌 29:20（新改訳SKY17）　そして、ダビデは全会衆に「あなたがたの神、主をほめたたえよ」と言った。すると全会衆は、父祖の神、主をほめたたえ、主と王の前に身をかがめてひれ伏した。

コメント
これは一つの世代から次の世代にわたるときでした。ダビデは40年間イスラエルの王として治めました（27節参照）。ソロモンは神によってダビデの後継者として選ばれて、民はみなこれを承認しました（22節参照）。2サムエル記を見れば、この時はかなり荒れた時期となり、下手すると国の分裂にも至った可能性がありました。しかし、そのただなかに、ダビデと、ソロモンと、イスラエル全会衆は共に集まって、主なる神をあがめ、賛美し、礼拝しました。言葉だけではなく、実際に多くの全焼のいけにえも捧げました（牡牛1000頭、牡羊 1000頭、仔羊1000頭）。また、民は共に食べて、飲んで、新しい王の即位を祝いました（22節参照）。私たちの人生の中で、様々な困難や問題がある中ででも、私たちの心を主に向けて、主を賛美し、礼拝すべきです。主なる神はすべての主権者だからです。詩篇は言っています。「神は　われらの避け所　また力。苦しむとき　そこにある強き助け。2それゆえ　われらは恐れない。たとえ地が変わり　山々が揺れ　海のただ中に移るとも。 3 たとえその水が立ち騒ぎ　泡立っても　その水かさが増し　山々が揺れ動いても。セラ」（詩篇 46:1-3 SKY17）。ダビデがこの時に書かれたであろう詩篇の中で宣言しました。「ほむべきかな　神である主　イスラエルの神。ただひとり　奇しいみわざを行われる方。19とこしえにほむべきかな　その栄光の御名。その栄光が全地に満ちあふれますように。アーメン、アーメン。」 （詩篇72:18‐19 SKY17）。

1Chro 29:20 (AMPC) And David said to all the assembly, Now adore (praise and thank) the Lord your God! And all the assembly blessed the Lord, the God of their fathers, and bowed down and did obeisance to the Lord and to the king [as His earthly representative].

Observation
This is the time of the passing of one generation to the next.  David has reigned over Israel for 40 years (see v.27).  Now Solomon has been chosen by God and affirmed by the people to be King in David’s stead (see v.22). As we see from 2 Samuel, this was actually a very turbulent time with the possibility of splitting a dividing the nation.  However, their focus was on give praise and thanksgiving to the Lord.  Not only praise but they offered thousands of sacrifices (1000 bulls, 1000 rams, 1000 lambs).  They also ate and drank and celebrated the new king and his reign (see v.22). Even when there is much happening in our lives and there is confusion and even great turmoil and upheaval, we must keep our heart focused on the Lord God who is in control of everything.  That is why we can praise even in the midst of trouble and turmoil.  “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah” (Psa 46:1-3 NIV84). In David’s Psalm possibly written at this same dedication, he prays for Solomon but end with a declaration of praise to the Lord God. “May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. All nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.19 Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.”
