エペソ6:18（新改訳JSS2017）　あらゆる祈りと願いによって、どんなときにも御霊によって祈りなさい。そのために、目を覚ましていて、すべての聖徒のために、忍耐の限りを尽くして祈りなさい。

コメント

パウロはこの前に私たちは戦いの中にいることを認識するように言っています。その中で与えられている攻撃の武器は二つあります。御霊の剣（神のみことば）と祈りです。祈りによって私たちは全能者である神とつながるのです。主は万軍の主であり、天の軍勢の長であります。いわゆる、最高司令官です。祈りは私たちの願いと必要を主に申し出るだけではなく（全知なる主はすでに知っておられます）、祈りは神の御心を実行させる、施行するものです。祈りは願うことだけではなく、宣言するものです。神のことばを宣言する、告白することによって、神の御心と目的を宣言するのです。あらゆる祈りのいくつかはイエスが主の祈りの中で教えてくださいました（マタイ6:9-13 口語訳参考）：

「天にいますわれらの父よ。御名が崇められますように」　（賛美と崇める祈り）

「御国が来ますように。御心が天に行われるとおり、地にも行われますように」　（宣言の祈り）

「わたしたちの日ごとの食物を、今日もお与えください」　（願い事と必要の祈り）

「わたしたちに負債のある者をゆるしましたように、わたしたちの負債をもおゆるしください」（罪の赦しの祈り）

「わたしたちを試みに会わせないで、悪しき者からお救いください」　（守りと悪に対する勝利の祈り）

「国と力と栄とはとこしえにありますよう。アーメン」（祈りの究極的目的）
また、覚えておかなければならないことは、私たちの祈りはすべて、御霊によって、御霊の内に祈らなければならないことです。どう祈ればいいか分からないときにも、聖霊が私たちを助けてくださり、ともに祈ってくださるのです（ローマ8:26参照）。そして私たちは必要な時に助けをいただくために、恵みの御座に躊躇せず行くことができるのです（ヘブル4:16 JCB参照）。

Eph 6:18 NIV84  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Observation

Paul has just told us to be aware of the warfare we are in.  The two offensive weapons that he says we have, are the Sword of the Spirit, The Word of God, and prayer.  Prayer is powerful because it connects us to the omnipotent, almighty God. He is also the Lord of Host, the Captain of the Army of the Lord.  Through prayers we not only let our needs be known (which he actually already knows) but we implement His will into our lives and our situation.  Prayer is not only asking, but it is declaring. We confess and declare God’s will and purpose by declaring His Word and his known will.  Jesus taught us how to pray many kinds of prayers (Matt 6:9-13 NKJV):
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. (Prayer of praise and exaltation)

Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. (Prayer of declaration)

And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. (Prayer for forgiveness)

And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Prayer for protection and victory over the evil one)

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. (Ultimate purpose of prayer.)

Also we must always remember that our prayers are to be in and by the Spirit.  The Spirit helps us to pray even when we do not know how to pray (see Rom 8:26).  And we have free access to the Throne of Grace in our time of need (Heb 4:16).
