箴言 10:11（新改訳 JSS）　正しい者の口はいのちの泉。悪者の口は暴虐を隠す。

私たちの口から出るもの、語ることばは、いのちをも取らすか、死をもたらします。このテーマは箴言（また聖書を通して）くりかえし語られています。「穏やかな舌はいのちの木。舌のねじれは霊の破れ」（箴言 15:4 JSS2017）。「死と生は舌に支配される。どちらかを愛して、人はその実を食べる」（箴言18:21 JSS2017）。イエスも言いました。「心に満ちていることを口が話すのです」（マタイ12:34 JSS2017）。私たちはいのちのことばを語りたいなら、心と霊を神のいのちのことばで満たさなければなりません。「わたしがあなたがたに話してきたことばは、霊であり、またいのちです（イエス）」。（ヨハネ6:63 JSS2017）。私たちのことばや言動をいのちの泉、いのちの木となるようにしましょう。

Pro 10:11 NIV84 The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.

Observation

What comes out of our mouth, what we speak, can either bring life or death. This theme is repeated in Proverbs over and over again.  Pro 15:4  The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.  Pro 18:21  The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.  Jesus said, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Matt 12:34 NKJV).  If we want to speak words of life then we must fill our spirit and heart with words of life. “The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.” (John 6:63 NIV84)  Let’s be wells of living water and trees of life in all that we speak and do.
