マルコ1:17-18（新改訳JSS2017）　イエスは彼らに言われた。「わたしについて来なさい。人間をとる漁師にしてあげよう。」すると、彼らはすぐに網を捨てて、イエスに従った。

コメント

イエスの招待「わたしについて来なさい。」は私たちまで及び、普遍的な招きです。同じ招きを様々な人に語りました。マタイ（レビ）にも「わたしについて来なさい。」と言った時、即座に、全てを後にして、イエスに従いました（マタイ9:9参照）。しかし、ある者にはこの招きはあまりにも代価が高すぎました（マルコ10:21参照）。また、他の人たちは自分の条件で従いたいと言いました（ルカ9:57-62参照）。よみがえりの後、天に変えられる前にもう一度ペテロに従うようにと言いました。ペテロは他の方はどうなるのかと尋ねたところ、イエスが答えて、他の人のことは心配しないで、ただ、自分がついてくれば良い、と言いました（ヨハネ21:19-22参照）。イエスに従う道はどこに行くのかはわかりませんが、主イエスが導いてくださること、共に歩んでくださることだけ知ればよい（詩篇23:1-4参照）。共におられるなら何も恐れ、心配することはない。

Mar 1:17-18 NIV84  “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him.

Observation

Jesus’ invitation to follow him is extends to us and is universal. He gave the same invitation to others. He called Matthew (Levi) who left his tax booth and immediately followed Jesus (see Matt 9:9).  But there were others who felt the cost was too high (see Mark 10:21).  Others wanted to follow him on their own conditions (see Luke 9:57-62)  Just before returning to heaven, after the resurrection, Jesus told Peter not to worry about what others were doing but, “You must follow me.” (see John 21:19-22) We do not know where the road will lead when we choose to follow Jesus, but we do know that he will lead us and will be with us wherever we go (Psa 23:1-4.) If he is with us we have nothing to fear or be concerned about.
