ルカ 23:44-46 （新改訳JSS2017）　さて、時はすでに十二時ごろであった。全地が暗くなり、午後三時まで続いた。45太陽は光を失っていた。すると神殿の幕が真ん中から裂けた。46イエスは大声で叫ばれた。「父よ、わたしの霊をあなたの御手にゆだねます。」こう言って、息を引き取られた。

コメント

イエスは、神の子羊として、世の全ての罪を自分に引き受けました（ヨハネ1:29,36参照）。人間人類のための贖いの代価を完全に払いすましました。イエスが最後の息を引き取るときに言いました。「父よ、わたしの霊をあなたの御手にゆだねます。」ヨハネの福音書ではこの時に、このようにも言われたと記録されています。「すべてが完了した」（ヨハネ19:30）。この寸簡、神殿にあった垂れ幕が上から下に真ん中に裂かれました。この垂れ幕とは神殿の聖所と至聖所を分けるものでした。また、人を神の臨在から仕切るものでした。へブル書ではこの意味が説明されています。「私たちはイエスの血によって大胆に聖所に入ることができます。20 イエスはご自分の肉体という垂れ幕を通して、私たちのために、この新しい生ける道を開いてくださいました」（へブル10:20 JSS2017）。ゆえに、私たちは神の御座の前に自由に入り、近づくことができます。そのために、私たちに進められています。「ですから躊躇せず、神の御座に近づいてあわれみを受け、時にかなって与えられる恵みをいただこうではありませんか」（へブル4:16 JCB）。イエスは代価を払われたので、私たちは神の御座の前に近づくことができます。

Luk 23:44-46 NIV84  It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, 45 for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.

Observation

Jesus, the Lamb of God took on himself the sins of the world (see John 1:29,36) paid the price of redemption for all mankind.  As He breathed his last, He said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” The Gospel of John says that he also said, “It is finished.” (John 19:30)  At that very moment, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom.  This is the veil that separated the Holy Place and The Most Holy Place, and separated man from the very presence of God. Hebrews tells us the meaning of this, “Since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new a living way opened for us through the curtain, that is his body.”  (Heb 10:19-20 NIV84)  This is also why we have been given free access to the very throne room of God before his Throne of grace and mercy. We are told, “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Heb 4:16 NIV84)  Jesus paid the price, and finished the work for us to freely come before the Lord God.
