これは非常に悲しい成り行きです。せっかく主なる神が彼女を悲惨な誕生と始まりから、贖いだし、ご自分のものとなるまで育てました（16:4-14参照）。それにかかわらず、主が与えたすべての恵みと良きものを用いて、姦淫を行い、身を遊女に耽ました。どこから主が私たちを贖いだしてくださったかを忘れてはなりません。私たちのいのちも愛も神にお返ししなければなりません。パウロはこのように言いました。「あなたがたは知らないのですか。正しくない者は神の国を相続できません。思い違いをしてはいけません。淫らな行いをする者、偶像を拝む者、姦淫をする者、男娼となる者、男色をする者、10盗む者、貪欲な者、酒におぼれる者、そしる者、奪い取る者はみな、神の国を相続することができません。11あなたがたのうちのある人たちは、以前はそのような者でした。しかし、主イエス・キリストの御名と私たちの神の御霊によって、あなたがたは洗われ、聖なる者とされ、義と認められたのです」（1コリント6:9-11SKY2017）。次の手紙でこのように続けました。「キリストはすべての人のために死なれました。それは、生きている人々が、もはや自分のためにではなく、自分のために死んでよみがえった方のために生きるためです。16ですから、私たちは今後、肉にしたがって人を知ろうとはしません。かつては肉にしたがってキリストを知っていたとしても、今はもうそのような知り方はしません。17 ですから、だれでもキリストのうちにあるなら、その人は新しく造られた者です。古いものは過ぎ去って、見よ、すべてが新しくなりました」（2コリント5:15-17 SKY2017）。私たちを贖ってくださった主イエスのために生きる者となりましょう。受けるにふさわしい愛を主イエスにお返ししましょう。

Observation
What a sad commentary on Israel.  God had done so much for her, rescued and raised her to be his own (see Ezek 16:4-14). And yet she took everything the Lord had done for her and given her to prostitute herself to others. We must never forget from where God has redeemed us. And give our life and love back to him. Paul said, “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1Cor 6:9-11 NIV84). Paul goes on to say in his next letter, “And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2Cor 5:15-17 NIV84) Let us live for Christ and give him the love he deserves.
