エゼキエル 30:10 （新改訳SKY17）　神である主はこう言われる。「わたしはバビロンの王ネブカドネツァルによって、エジプトの富を終わらせる（「…エジプトの富を滅ぼす」；　「…大ぜいのエジプト人を殺す」　などとも訳されている）。

コメント
すべての国々の上におられる主なる神（主権者なる神）はその預言者エゼキエルを通してこれからエジプトの国に起こることを続けて語っています。エジプトは長年間権威と力をふるい、周りの国々を言いなりにしてきました。主なる神を敬わず、多くの悪が行い、多くのものが傷ついてきました。すべての国の審判者である主権者なる神（創世記 18:25など参照）がバビロンの国を用いてこのエジプトをさばき罰すると言っています。しかし、後にはバビロンも主なる神を敬わず多くの悪を行われたゆえに、審判者である主なる神は、バビロンをもさばかれるのです（ダニエル5:1-31など参照）。イエスも世界の国々は究極的にさばきを受けると言いました。「人の子は、その栄光を帯びてすべての御使いたちを伴って来るとき、その栄光の座に着きます。32そして、すべての国の人々が御前に集められます。人の子は、羊飼いが羊をやぎからより分けるように彼らをより分け、33羊を自分の右に、やぎを左に置きます」（マタイ 25:31-33 SKY17; 34-46も参照； 黙示録 11:15;12:10なども参照）。審判の焦点はこの国々が神の子たち（特に最も小さい者）をどのように取り扱われたかです（マタイ25:40，45参照）。そしてその目的は、「彼らは、わたしが主であることを知る」（エゼキエル 30:26 ）ことです。

Eze 30:10 NIV84  “‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “‘I will put an end to the hordes of Egypt by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. 22 Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt. I will break both his arms, the good arm as well as the broken one, and make the sword fall from his hand.

Observation
The Lord who is Sovereign Lord over the nations declares through his prophet Ezekiel what is going to happen to Egypt.  Egypt has exercised its authority and power over the whole region for many years.  However, they refuse to honor God and had done much evil and harm.  God, who is the judge of the whole earth (see Gen 18:25) has declared that He is going to use Babylon to judge and punish Egypt. But because Babylon will also refuse to honor God, and its king will lift up himself against the God of Heaven and the Sovereign over all nations, they will also be judged and destroyed (see Dan 5:1-31 etc.). Jesus also talks about how the nations of the earth will ultimately be judged.  “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory.32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.” (Matt 25:31-32; see also 32-46; see also Rev 11:15; 12:10 etc.). The most important thing is how they treat the children of God, even the least of these (see Matt 25:40,45).  Again, the purpose is “Then they will know that I am the LORD.” (Ezk 30:26) Revelations also tell us, “Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.” (Rev 15:4 NIV84).
