今日のことば
エゼキエル 33:31 (JCB)　 彼らはもっともらしい顔をしてやって来る。そして、あなたの前に座って聞くだろう。だが、わたしの言うとおりにする気はさらさらない。口では、いかにも調子よく、わたしを愛しているようなことを言うが、心は金銭欲でいっぱいだ。
（SKY17）彼らは群れをなしてあなたのもとにやって来る。そして、わたしの民はあなたの前に座り、あなたのことばを聞く。しかし、それを実行しようとはしない。彼らは口で甘いことばを語り、心で利得を追っている。

コメント
何という告発でしょう！私たちはどれだけ神のことばを聞き、読み、知っているのではなく、私たちは口でそれを告白できるかでもなく、神のことばを実行、実践しているかが要点です。イエスは家を建てるときのたとえを語り、このことを説明しました。「ですから、わたしのこれらのことばを聞いて、それを行う者はみな、岩の上に自分の家を建てた賢い人にたとえることができます。25雨が降って洪水が押し寄せ、風が吹いてその家を襲っても、家は倒れませんでした。岩の上に土台が据えられていたからです。26また、わたしのこれらのことばを聞いて、それを行わない者はみな、砂の上に自分の家を建てた愚かな人にたとえることができます。27雨が降って洪水が押し寄せ、風が吹いてその家に打ちつけると、倒れてしまいました。しかもその倒れ方はひどいものでした。」（マタイ7:24‐27 SKY17）。ヤコブも率直に言いました。「みことばを行う人になりなさい。自分を欺いて、ただ聞くだけの者となってはいけません。」 (ヤコブ 1:22 SKY17)。どのように神のことばを実行するか、実践するかをよく考えましょう。

Eze 33:31 (NIV) My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to hear your words, but they do not put them into practice. Their mouths speak of love, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. 

Observation
What an inditement! It is not what we hear and read of God’s word to us.  It is not what we say. It is whether we are doing the word that is given to us.  Jesus told the parable of the houses built on sand and on the rock.  “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” (Matt 7:24-27 NIV84).  James told us, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (Jam 1:22 NKJV)
