エゼキエル 34:2 (リビングバイブル JCB)　 「人の子よ、羊飼いであるイスラエルの指導者に預言せよ。彼らに言え。」神である主は語ります。「羊の世話はそっちのけで、私腹を肥やすことしか考えていない羊飼いは災いだ。羊飼いなら羊を養うべきではないか。

コメント
私たちの良い羊飼い、偉大な牧者イエスと何と対照的でしょう。イエスは言いました。「．．．しかしわたしが来たのは、いのちをあふれるほど豊かに与えるためです。 11わたしはまた、良い羊飼いです。良い羊飼いは羊のためにはいのちも捨てます。．．．わたしは良い羊飼いであり、自分の羊を知っています。また、羊もわたしを知っています。 」（ヨハネ 10:10,11,14 JCB； 1ペテロ 2:25; 5:4も参照）。使徒ヨハネは黙示録の中で見られたことを書きました。「それは、王座の正面に立たれる小羊が、羊飼いとして彼らを養い、いのちの水の泉に導いてくださるからです。また神は、彼らの目からあふれる涙を、すっかりぬぐい取ってくださるのです。」（黙示録 7:17 JCB）

Eze 34:2 (NIV84)  “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who only take care of themselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock?

Observation
What a contrast to our Great Shepherd of the Sheep, Jesus!  “… I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep… “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—.” (John 10:10,11,14 NIV84; see also 1Pet 2:25; 5:4). Jesus was not only the Good Shepherd but the Lamb of God.  John said in Revelations, “For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Rev. 7:17 NIV84)
