エゼキエル 38: 23 (新改訳SKY17)　 わたしは、わたしが大いなる者であること、わたしが聖であることを示し、多くの国々の見ている前でわたしを知らせる。そのとき彼らは、わたしが主であることを知る。」

コメント
イエスは警告しました。「また、戦争や戦争のうわさを聞くことになりますが、気をつけて、うろたえないようにしなさい。そういうことは必ず起こりますが、まだ終わりではありません。7 民族は民族に、国は国に敵対して立ち上がり、あちこちで飢饉と地震が起こります。」 (マタイ24:6‐7 SKY17)。人間の歴史を通して、国は国に、王国は王国に立ち上がり、戦争は続いています。でも、この終わりの時代にはその戦いの焦点はますます、神の民イスラエルに対して、そしてイスラエルの神、まことの主権者なる神に立ち上がることが預言されています。このエゼキエル38章では預言者エゼキエルはイスラエルに対して起こる決定的な戦争の一つを語っています。私たちは常に、主なる神は国々の間に働き、そのすべての国々とその企み、意図の上に主権者であることを覚えておかなければなりません。彼らの究極的目的は天の神に対して立ち上がり、その主権を倒すことです。しかし、これは必ず彼らの滅びと滅亡に終わります。そして、主なる神こそがあがめられ（大いなる者とされ）、聖なる者であることを認めさせ（神の正しさが完全に正当化され）ます。主なる神は世界の国々と人々に対してこの招きを与えています。「地の果てのすべての者よ。わたしを仰ぎ見て救われよ。わたしが神だ。ほかにはいない。23 わたしは自分にかけて誓う。ことばは、義のうちにわたしの口から出て、決して戻ることはない。すべての膝はわたしに向かってかがめられ、すべての舌は誓い、24わたしについて、『ただ主にだけ、正義と力がある』と言う。主に向かっていきり立つ者はみな、主のもとに来て恥を見る。25イスラエルの子孫はみな　主によって義とされ、主を誇りとする。」　(イザヤ 45:22-25 SKY17)

Ezk 38:23 AMPC Thus will I demonstrate My greatness and My holiness, and I will be recognized, understood, and known in the eyes of many nations; yes, they shall know that I am the Lord [the Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service].

Observation
Jesus warned, “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place.” (Matt 24:6-7 AMPC).  All through history there have been wars, nations have risen against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms, but in the end of this age there will be a specific focus of those wars which will be Israel and the people of God.  In Ezekiel 38 the prophet describes one of the climactic wars that will come against Israel.  But we must always remember that God is actively involved and sovereignly over all the nations and their schemes and plans.  Their ultimate objective is to rebel and seek to overthrow the God of Heaven.  It will end in their destruction and the Lord God will be magnified or (made great), and also sanctified (made holy), and justified as righteous in everything He does among all the nations (see also Rev 11:15; 12:10).  The Lord gives this invitation to all the people and nations of the earth, “Turn to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is none else. 23 I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not turn back, that unto Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.” 24 One shall say, “Only in the LORD do I have righteousness and strength; even to Him shall men come. And they are ashamed, all who are angry against Him.” 25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.” (Isa 45:22-25 AFV).
