今日のことばエゼキエル 40:5 （新改訳SKY17）　その人は私に話しかけられた。「人の子よ。あなたの目で見、耳で聞き、わたしがあなたに見せるすべてのことを心に留めよ。わたしがあなたを連れて来たのは、あなたにこれを見せるためだ。あなたが見ることをみな、イスラエルの家に告げよ。」

主はエゼキエルに巨大な神殿を見せました。これはエゼキエルの神殿とも言及されています。この神殿は現実的物質的宮であるか、霊的、象徴的ものであるかは長年間多くの方によって議論されています。神殿とは主なる神の臨在が宿る場所です、また、主なる神が礼拝される場所です。エゼキエル書の最初には主の御使いは神の栄光（臨在）が当時の神殿から、神の民の罪と汚れのゆえに、立ち去って行くのを見ました（エゼキエル 9:3; 10:4,18,19,19; 11:23参照）。ここでは主の使い（キリストを言及するものである可能性）、神が再び神の宿る神殿を願っていることをエゼキエルに見せています。それは主なる神がご自分の民のただなかに宿ることです（出エジプト記 25:8 参照）。この神殿はこれまでのどの宮よりも偉大で、栄光輝かしい、壮大なものとなることを宣言しています。これが物質的な建造物であっても、霊的象徴的なものであっても、主が願っておられるのは私たちこそ神の宮（神殿）、神の霊と臨在の宿る場所であることを新約聖書では定められています。「あなたがた自身も生ける石として霊の家に築き上げられ、神に喜ばれる霊のいけにえをイエス・キリストを通して献げる、聖なる祭司となります。」（1ペテロ 2:5 SKY17; 1コリント 3:16; 6:19; エペソ 2:20-22 など参照）。御使いがエゼキエルに現わされていることを注意深く見るようにと言いました。また、イスラエルに（神の民に）それを告げるようにと言いました。主なる神は私たちのただなかに宿り、ご自身の栄光を私たちと血のすべての人々に栄光を現されますように。

Ezk 40:4 AFV  And the man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart upon all that I shall show you, for you were brought here in order that I might show it to you. Declare all that you see to the house of Israel.”

Observation
The Lord now shows Ezekiel an enormous temple which is referred to as  Ezekiel’s Temple because it was revealed to him.  Whether this is a future physical Temple or a spiritual, symbolic one is much debated.  The temple is the place where God’s presence dwells and where the Lord God is worshipped. In the first part of Ezekiel, the angel showed the departing of the glory (presence of God) from the temple because of the sin and wickedness of God’s people (causing the pollution of the temple) (see 9:3; 10:4,18,19; 11:23).  Here the messenger of the Lord (possibly referring to Christ), begins to show Ezekiel that He once again desires a temple, a dwelling place for the presence and glory of God among his people (see Exo 25:8). And this temple is going to be more glorious and magnificent that any temple before it or even that is going to be built upon the return of the exile and that will exist at the time of Jesus (Matt 24:1; Luk 21:5 etc.). Whether there will be a physical temple in the future is debated but the NT is clear that we are to be that temple, the dwelling place of the presence and Spirit of God.  “You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house—a holy priesthood—to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1Pet 2:5 AFV; see also 1Cor 3:16; 6:19; Eph 2:20-22 etc.).  The Messenger tells Ezekiel to pay close attention to all that is going to be revealed to him, and to declare it to the house of Israel. The Lord God desires to dwell among us so that He can reveal his glory to us and to all the people of the earth.
