今日のことば
エゼキエル41:18‐19（新改訳SKY17）　ケルビムとなつめ椰子の木が彫刻してあった。なつめ椰子の木はケルビムとケルビムの間にあり、それぞれのケルビムには二つの顔があった。19人間の顔は一方のなつめ椰子の木に向かい、若い獅子の顔はもう一方のなつめ椰子の木に向かい、このように神殿全体の周りに彫刻してあった。

コメント
この神殿の内にも、外にもケラビムとナツメヤシの彫刻が施されていました。これはモーセの幕屋とソロモンの神殿にも似ていました（出エジプト記 26:1; 1列王記 6:29）。これらも彫刻やデザインはエデンの園を思い起こさせるものでした。それは主なる神と人間の出会いの場でありました（創世記 3:8参照）。そして黙示録において最終的に成就されることです（黙示録21:10‐11； 22:1‐2など参照）。主なる神はアダムとエバとともにその出歩き語り合う場所でした。主はモーセと会見の幕屋で語らいました。また、モーセの幕屋も、ソロモンの神殿は神のみ座の前に近づくことができる場所でした（そこには至聖所があり、神の臨在の場所契約の箱がありました。）黙示録ではこのように書かれています。「見よ、神の幕屋が人々とともにある。神は人々とともに住み、人々は神の民となる。神ご自身が彼らの神として、ともにおられる。」（黙示録21:3 SKY17）。ここでエゼキエルの神殿には同じ彫刻とグラフィック描かれていました。詩篇には私たちはナツメヤシのようであると言っています。「正しい者は　なつめ椰子の木のように萌え出で　レバノンの杉のように育ちます。　彼らは　主の家に植えられ　私たちの神の大庭で花を咲かせます。」（詩篇 92:12-13 SKY17）。（聖書プロジェクトの「天と地」のビデオをぜひ観てください。　https://youtu.be/2QZtfYRhlTc?si=yB0OTwP0p9_kTq_C ）

Ezek 41:18-19 (AFV) And it was made with cherubim and palm trees, and a palm tree was between cherub and cherub. And each cherub had two faces, 19  The face of a man was toward the palm tree on one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side. It was made throughout all the temple all around.

Observation
The carving of the Cherubim and palm trees throughout the Temple were the same as in the Tabernacle of Moses and the Temple of Solomon (see Exo 26:1; 1Ki 6:29 etc.)  This was to replicate what the Garden of Eden was meant to be, a place where God and man could meet together.  We see the final fulfillment of this at the end of the Book of Revelations (see Rev 21:10-11; 22:1-2 etc.). God walked and talked with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.  God communicated with Moses in the Tent of Meeting and also the Tabernacle of Moses and the Temple of Solomon were the one place where man could come before the Throne of God (The Ark of the Covenant in the Most Holy Place).  “And I heard a great voice from heaven say, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men; and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people; and God Himself shall be with them and be their God.” (Rev 21:3 AFV). Here in Ezekiel’s Temple the same thing is being expressed in the design and graphics of the building. Psalms also expresses this and says that we are the Palm Trees. “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13  Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.” (Psa 92:12-13 AFV) （See Bible Project Video “Heaven and Earth”).
