詩篇 119:41,47 （新改訳SKY17）　主よ　あなたの恵みが私にもたらされますように。　あなたの救いが　みことばのとおりに。47私はあなたの仰せを喜びます。それを私は愛します。

詩篇 119篇の主なテーマは神のことばです（律法、掟、定め、さとし、約束など）。この詩人はくりかえしみことばを愛すること（11回）、喜びとすること（9回）を書いています。しかし、その反面、神の愛（いつくしみ、恵み）についても語っています（7回）。そして、別の節でこの二つを結びつけています。「ご覧ください。どんなに私があなたの戒めを愛しているかを。主よ　あなたの恵みによって　私を生かしてください。」（159節 SKY17）。使徒ヨハネも言いました。「私たちが神を愛することができるのは、神がまず私たちを愛してくださったからなのです。」（１ヨハネ 4:19 JCB）。また、「私たちが神を愛したのではなく、神が私たちを愛し、私たちの罪のために、宥めのささげ物としての御子を遣わされました。ここに愛があるのです。（1ヨハネ4：10 SKY17）。主なる神は私たちを完全な、無条件の愛で愛してくださっています。私たちも主を愛さなければなりません。その最も現実方な法は神のみことばを愛し、喜びとすることです。

Psa 119:41,47 (AMPC)  Let Your mercy and loving-kindness come also to me, O Lord, even Your salvation according to Your promise; 47 For I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I love.

Observation
Psalms 119 is all about the Word of God (law, precepts, statutes, promises, decrees etc.).  And the psalmist says over and over again I love (11x) or I delight in your word (9x). But it also repeated speaks about God’s love (loving-kindness, mercy etc. see H2617, Chesed) (7x).  The psalmist ties the two together in another verse. “Consider how I love Your precepts; revive me and give life to me, O Lord, according to Your loving-kindness!” (Psa 119:159 AMPC).  John states, “We love Him, because He first loved us.” (1John 4:19 AMPC).  “In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.” (1John 4:10 AMPC). The Lord God loves us with complete and unconditional love.  We must love the Lord our God, and one tangible way to show that love is by a love for and delight in His Word.
