詩篇 119: 164-165（リビングバイブル JCB）　164このすばらしい教えを思い巡らし、一日に七回、あなたをたたえます。165この教えを愛する人は、平安な心を与えられ、過ちを犯すこともありません（…つまづきがありません　SKY17）。

聖書では7の数字は「完全、完成」の意味があり、この七回または七度とは「くりかえし、何度も」ということを現しています。詩人は一日のうちに何回も神のみことばを思い起こしては、感謝すると言っています。目覚めの時、朝食の時、朝の中で、昼食の時、午後の中で、夕食の時、寝る前。一日中何度もみことばを思い越して、感謝をすることです。そうすれば、「つまづきがありません」。ペテロはこのように言っています。「主イエスの、神としての御力は、いのちと敬虔をもたらすすべてのものを、私たちに与えました。4その栄光と栄誉を通して、尊く大いなる約束が私たちに与えられています。それは、その約束によってあなたがたが、欲望がもたらすこの世の腐敗を免れ、神のご性質にあずかる者となるためです。10ですから、兄弟たち。自分たちの召しと選びを確かなものとするように、いっそう励みなさい。これらのことを行っているなら、決してつまずくことはありません。11このようにして、私たちの主であり救い主であるイエス・キリストの永遠の御国に入る恵みを、豊かに与えられるのです。(２ペテロ1:3-4, 10‐11 SKY17； 5‐9節も参照)。

Psa 119:164-165 (NIV84)  Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.165 Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.

Observation
Seven times is an expression that means complete and denotes frequently or many times.  The Psalmist is saying that repeatedly, throughout the day he would praise and give thanks for the word of God.  Think about and thank the Lord when you wake up, at breakfast, during the morning, at lunch, in the after noon, at dinner and before going to bed. Let our mind naturally and often return to the word of God and his laws and precepts.  When we love and keep his word in our hearts and minds, and we live accordingly, the promise is that “nothing can make them stumble.” Peter tells us, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2Pet 1:3-4, 10-11; cf. v.5-9).
