１歴代誌 11:9（新改訳SKY17）　ダビデはますます大いなる者となり、万軍の主が彼とともにおられた。

コメント
ここにダビデの成功の最も重要は秘訣があります。「万軍の主（ヤーウエイ・サボアテ）が彼と共におられた。」 歴代誌の物語はダビデがイスラエル全体の王となられたところに直接飛び込みます。しかし、実は,ここに至るまで様々な困難で複雑な長い旅路がありました（１サムエル記 16- 2サムエル記 4章を参照）。多くの戦いと困難の中でダビデは主に従うこと、万軍の主（ヤーウエイ・サボアテ、天の軍勢、天使の軍勢の長）である主に頼ることを覚えました。この「万軍の主」という名は聖書の中で、最も多く使われている主なる神の名前の一つです（特に旧約聖書において）。ダビデは詩篇の24篇で宣言しました。「栄光の王とは　だれか。強く　力ある主。戦いに力ある主。．．．栄光の王　それはだれか。万軍の主　この方こそ栄光の王。セラ」（詩篇24:8,10 SKY17）。また、詩篇46:10‐11もこのように語っています。「静まって、わたしこそ神であることを知れ。わたしはもろもろの国民のうちにあがめられ、全地にあがめられる」。11万軍の主はわれらと共におられる、ヤコブの神はわれらの避け所である。セラ」（口語訳）。「セラ」とは立ち止まり、思いめぐらせ！このこと良くめい想し、考えなさい！という意味です。もし、万軍の主、ヤーウエイ・サボアテ、天使の軍勢の長、栄光の王、強く　力ある主、戦いに力ある主が共にいてくださり、戦ってくださるのなら、誰が敵対できるでしょうか？（ローマ8：28，31,32など参照）。この結果、「ダビデはますます大いなる者となり」（「ダビデは次第に勢力を増し、」新共同訳）と書かれてあります。箴言にはこのように書かれています。「正しい人の進む道は、あけぼのの光のようだ。いよいよ輝きを増して真昼となる。」 (箴言 4:18 SKY17)。 イザヤはメシヤなる王についても預言されました。（イザヤ9:7参照）。私たちは誰について従っていますか？誰が私たちと共に戦っていますか？誰の約束を信じ信頼していますか？

1Ch 11:9  And David became greater and greater, for the LORD of hosts was with him.

Observation
Here is one of the most important keys to David’s success, “The Lord of Hosts (Yahweh-Sabaoth) was with him.” The Chronicles story jumps straight to David’s anointing to be king of all Israel but it was actually a very long and difficult journey (see 1Sam 16 – 2Sam 4). David learned to follow the Lord and through many battles he learns to trust the Lord who is Yahweh-Sabaoth, Lord of the Angel Armies (all the hosts of heaven.) This is one of the most repeated names of God in the Scriptures (especially in the OT). David declares in Psalms 24, “8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle! 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah” (Psa 24:8,10 ESV). Psalms 46:10-11 tells us, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” 11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah” (ESV). Selah, Stop and think about it! Meditate on this! If The Lord of Hosts, God of the Angel Armies, The King of Glory, the Lord mighty in battle, is for us, who can be against us? (see also Rom 8:28, 31-32 etc.) The result was “David became greater and greater.” Proverbs say, “The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.” (Pro 4:18 NIV84). Isaiah prophesies about the Messiah King, who is the son of David (see Isa 9:6-7).  Who are we following?  Who are we trusting to fight our battles?  Who has promised to be with us?
