1歴代誌 15:16,28 （リビングバイブル JCB） ダビデ王はレビ人の指導者たちに、楽器の伴奏つきの合唱隊を編成し、彼らが十弦の琴、竪琴、シンバルを打ち鳴らし、喜びの声を上げて歌うよう命じました。28 そしてイスラエルの指導者たちは、大歓声とともに、角笛とラッパが響き、シンバルが鳴り、十弦の琴と竪琴が高らかにかなでられる中、契約の箱をエルサレム（ダビデの町）へと運び上ったのです。

ダビデ王は全イスラエルと共に神の契約の箱を運び上り、ダビデの町に用意された幕屋に置きました。この時ダビデ王はモーセの書に明確に記載されている通りに契約の箱を運びました（レビ人と祭司たちの肩に載せて運ばれた、2節参照）。しかし、ダビデはさらにレビ人たちで音楽を奏でる者、歌を歌う者を任命して「喜びの声を上げて歌うよう命じました。」その中にへマン、アサフ、エタンなども含まれていましたが、彼らはこの後ダビデの幕屋とさらに後にソロモンの神殿で賛美礼拝の中心的人物となりました、また詩篇の著者にも含まれました。また、非常に興味深いことに、契約の箱が一時保管された家のオベデ・エドムも中心メンバーとなっています。思い出してください。彼はエドムとかかわりのある、ガテ人であり外国人でありました。しかし、レビ族にも関わりのある者のようです。彼の家に契約の箱が安置されている間、神の臨在を味わい、愛する者となりました。この章ではオベデ・エドムはダビデの幕屋の門衛となり、さらに竪琴を奏でるミュージシャンともなりました。こうして神の臨在に満ちたダビデの幕屋のただなかにいることができました。ここで賛美礼拝が本格的に生まれて、ソロモンの神殿にも続くものとなりました（2歴代誌 5:12 など参照）。ダビデは他のレビ人と同じ亜麻布のエポデ着て主の前で力の限り踊り賛美しました（27‐29節参照）。しかし、この個所にはもう人の方が登場しています、サウル王の娘、ダビデの妻ミカルです。「ミカルは．．．ダビデ王が飛び跳ねて喜び踊っているのを見て、心の中で彼を蔑んだ。」（29節 SKY17）。神の臨在に対する私たちの反応はなんでしょう。愛していますか、それとも、蔑んでいますか。

1Ch 15:16,28 NIV84  David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers to sing joyful songs, accompanied by musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals. 28  So all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouts, with the sounding of rams’ horns and trumpets, and of cymbals, and the playing of lyres and harps.

Observation
David and all Israel bring up the Ark of God to the City of David where David had prepared a Tent for it.  This time David is doing it according to the order designated in the Books of Moses (carried by Levites and priest on their shoulders see v.2).  But David goes further.  He appoints some of the Levites who are also musicians to play and sing “joyful songs”.  Among them were Heman, Asaph, and Ethan who went on to be very central leaders in the worship in the Tabernacle of David and authors of some of the Psalms.  Also a very interesting inclusion is Obed-Edom, in whose house the Ark has stay for several months.  Remember he is a foreigner, evidently connected with Edom and also called a Gittite (from Gath).  But evidently he also has connections to the Levite tribe.  Obed-Edom experienced and learn to love the presence of God surrounding the Ark and became part of the worship in the Tabernacle of David.  Here in this chapter we find he is designated one of the gatekeepers and doorkeepers (see v.18,24), but he is also included among those that play the harp (see v.21). This is the birth of praise and worship that continues on into the Temple of Solomon and that is very connected with the Presence of God (see 2Chro 5:12 etc.).  David also dressed just like the Levites (in a linen ephod) and danced before the Lord with all his might (see v.27-29). There is one more person which we need to remember; Michal, Saul’s daughter and David’s wife.  “And when she saw King David dancing and celebrating, she despised him in her heart.” (v.29, see also 2Sam 6:20-23).  What is our heart and response to the presence of God?  Do we love it, or despise it?
