1歴代誌 16:7-8（新改訳 SKY17）　その日、その時、初めてダビデはアサフとその兄弟たちを任命して、このように主に感謝をささげさせた。主に感謝し、御名を呼び求めよ。そのみわざを諸国の民の間に知らせよ。

コメント
歴代誌の書かれた目的を思い出してください。「神の民を一つ心にして、ダビデ王家の血筋をたどり、また、真の礼拝こそ個人的にも、国家的にも中心的のものでなければならないことを思い起こさせるため。」（LAB notes和訳）。「簡単にまとめますと、歴代誌は捕囚から帰国しているユダヤ人に思い起こさせています。あなたは今も神の選民であり、ダビデに対する神の契約は今も重要であり、エルサレムと神殿はその中心的のものであり、忠実な礼拝こそが回復に至らせるものである。」（Perplexityより）。ダビデの町に幕屋を設け、そこに契約の箱を置かれたダビデ王はアサフとレビ人の音楽隊に賛美するための詩篇を提供しました。これは天の主なる神を賛美するためのものであり、イスラエルに対する神のご計画と国々の間で御業を現される神を賛美しほめたたえるためでした。続けて神の民を励まし、促しています。「主に歌え。主にほめ歌を歌え。そのすべての奇しいみわざを語れ。10主の聖なる御名を誇りとせよ。主を慕い求める者たちの心よ、喜べ。11主とその御力を尋ね求めよ。絶えず御顔〔神の臨在の意味〕を慕い求めよ。」(9-11節 SKY17)。

1Chro 16:7-8 (NIV84) That day David first committed to Asaph and his associates this psalm of thanks to the LORD: 8 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.

Observation
Remember what the purpose of the books of Chronicles was. “To unify God’s people, to trace the Davidic line, and to teach that genuine worship ought to be the center of individual and national life.” (Life Application Bible, book summary). “In short, Chronicles told the returning Jews: You are still part of God’s people; David’s covenant still matters; Jerusalem and the Temple remain central; and faithful worship can lead to restoration.” (from Perplexity).  After bringing the Ark to the City of David and placing it in the Tabernacle of David, King David gives Asaph and the Levite musicians a Psalm to sing and praise the Lord God of Heaven who has a plan and purpose for Israel to make known the Lord God and his deeds among the nations.  It goes one to encourage the people, “ Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! 10 Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! 11 Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!” What a powerful song of worship, praise and declaration.
