ダビデ王は幕屋を建てて契約の箱を置きました。要するに、モーセの幕屋の至聖所をダビデの町に移したのです。しかし、モーセの幕屋での血のいけにえと捧げものは継続させました（39‐40節参照）。これは彼らが天の主なる神の前に進むことができるための基礎であり、イエス・キリストの贖いの十字架を指していました（へブル10:19参照）。それから、ダビデの幕屋で契約の箱を囲んで、毎日、常に賛美と礼拝がなされるように定めました。アサフ、エドトン、へマン（三兄弟、37も節参照）は弦楽器、ラッパ、シンバルなどをもってこの賛美と礼拝を導くように任命されました。そして、自分の家に契約の箱が滞在された間に、神の臨在を知り、愛するようになったオベデ・エドムもそのただなかに居ました（38節参照）。彼らの賛美の主なテーマは「まことに主の恵みは、とこしえまで」でした（34節も参照）。この賛美はここで生まれたのですが、イスラエルの歴史の重要な点で何回も賛美されました。ソロモンの神殿の献堂の時（2歴代誌 5:13; 7:3など参照）。ユダの国が隣国の敵国に攻められて、絶滅寸前の時にも、この賛美をして、主が勝利が与えられました（2歴代誌 20:20参照）。また、バビロン捕囚後に帰国して神殿をもう一度再建するときにも歌われました（エズラ記 3:11参照）。この歌、「主に感謝せよ。主はまことにいつくしみ深い。その恵みはとこしえまで。」はいかなる状況の中にあっても、私たちの賛美の中心的なテーマとなるべきです。

Observation
David has set up the Tabernacle of David to house the Ark of the Covenant.  He has essentially transferred the Most Holy Place of the Tabernacle of Moses to the City of David. Meanwhile he also makes sure that the blood sacrifices and offerings at the Tabernacle of Moses continue (see v.39-40); this is the foundation of being able to come before the Lord God of Heaven and points to Jesus atoning sacrifice on the cross. He then establishes daily, continual worship around the Ark.  Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun (all brothers) are put over this worship with stringed instruments, trumpets, and cymbals etc. and David gave them Psalms of worship and praise.  Obed-edom who learned to love the presence of God while the Ark was in his house is also in the middle of all the worship at the Tabernacle of David (see v.38).  The main theme of their worship was, “to give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.” (see also v. 34).  This is where this song was birthed but it was sung repeatedly through Israel’s history at very critical moments: The dedication of the Temple of Solomon (see 2Chro 5:13; 7:3); in the midst of crises when Judah was about to be wiped off the face of the earth (see 2Chro 20:20); when rebuilding the Temple after returning from the Babylonian Captivity (see Ezr 3:11).  This should be the central theme of our praise and worship no matter what situation we are in.“O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!” (v.34 AMPC)
