1歴代誌 29:3-4 （新改訳 SKY17）  私は全力を尽くして、私の神の宮（私の神の家）のために準備をしてきた。すなわち、金製品のための金、銀製品のための銀、青銅製品のための青銅、鉄製品のための鉄、木製品のための木、縞めのう、色とりどりの象眼細工用の石、あらゆる宝石、大理石などを大量に準備した。 3そのうえ、私は、私の神の宮に対する喜びとして、聖なる宮のために準備したすべてのものに加えて、自分の宝としていた金銀を、私の神の宮のために献げる。4 建物の壁をおおうため、オフィルの金の中から金三千タラントと、精錬された銀七千タラント、

ダビデ王は最後の完成を見ることはできなかったが、神の宮の建設のために準備を続けました。ダビデはこれを原語では「城、宮殿」と呼んでいます。また、これを「私の神の宮（家）とも呼んでいます。ダビデはこの偉大な宮のために大量の金、銀、そして多くの建材を集めて貯えました。しかし、さらに、自分の個人の持ち物の中からも捧げました。金3000タラント（現代価格 2.17兆円相当）、銀7000タラント （現代価格 696億円相当）。ダビデはこれらのものを捧げた理由は「私の神の宮（家）に対する喜びとして．．．」（新共同訳‐「わたしの神の神殿に対するあつい思いのゆえに．．．」(2節)。それを見たイスラエルの部族長たちも喜んで進んで主の家のために捧げました。（金5000タラント、銀10,000タラント）。「民は、長たちが自ら進んで献げたことを喜んだ。彼らが全き心をもって、自ら進んで主に献げたからである。」（9節 SKY17）。それを見たダビデ王も「．．．大いに喜んだ。」とあります。　詩篇の中でダビデはくりかえし主の家（宮）に対する思いを表しました。「主よ　私は愛します。あなたの住まいのある所 あなたの栄光のとどまる所を。」（詩篇 26:8 SKY17）。私たちは主の家をどれほど愛し、喜んでいるでしょうか？

1Ch 29:2-3 (AMPC)  So I have provided with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be of gold, silver for things of silver, bronze for things of bronze, iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood, as well as onyx or beryl stones, stones to be set, stones of antimony, stones of various colors, and all sorts of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance. 3 Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, in addition to all I have prepared for the holy house, I have a private treasure of gold and silver which I give for the house of my God:

Observation
David continues his preparation for building the Temple of God, even though he will never see the final finished structure.  He calls is “a palace…for the Lord God” but he also says it is to be, “the house of my God.”  David has gathered an abundant amount of supplies and materials for this magnificent building, but he even goes further and commits a very large donation from his own personal possessions; 3000 talents of gold and 7000 talents of silver (approx. USD $13.7 billion in gold; USD $440 million). David gives the reason he gave his donation, “because I have set my affections on the house of my God.”  Then the other tribal leaders of Israel also willingly gave for the house of God (5000 talents of gold and 10,000 talents of silver.) “ And whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord… Then the people rejoiced because these had given willingly, for with a whole and blameless heart they  had offered freely to the Lord.” (v.8-9 AMPC). Then it says, “King David also rejoiced greatly.” David expresses his heart for the house of the Lord throughout the Psalms, “Lord, I love the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells.“ (Psa 26:8 AMPC).  How much to we love the house of the Lord God and how do we expresses it?
