アモス 1:2 （新改訳 SKY17）　彼は言った。主はシオンからほえ、エルサレムから声をあげられる。羊飼いの牧場は乾き、カルメルの頂は枯れる。

コメント
アモス書は預言的メッセージと詩と幻をまとめたもので、イスラエルに対する神のさばきとイスラエルの崩壊を警告し、イスラエルの神、主なる神に立ち返るように呼びかけています。イスラエルの国は二つに分裂して、南にはユダ王国（2部族）と北のイスラエル王国（10部族）となりました。主なる神の神殿はユダのエルサレムにあり、北のイスラエル王国はその代わりに二つの偽の神殿を建て、イスラエルの神を金の子牛として祭りました（1列王記 12:25-33参照；出エジプト記32章とも比較）。これはさらに周りの国々の偶像を拝むことにも至りました。そして、神の義と正義を曲げて、理解が曲解されました。主（アドナイ、ヤーウエイ）はアモスを召し、イスラエルに警告を告げ、主なる神に立ち返るように呼びかけるようにとイスラエルに送られました。アモスが語っていますが、実はそれが主なる神の声でありました。後にアモスは言いました。「獅子が吼える。だれが恐れないでいられよう。神である主が語られる。だれが預言しないでいられよう。」（アモス 3:8 SKY17）。イエスもくりかえし警告しました。「耳のある者は聞きなさい。」（マタイ11:15 SKY17; 黙示録には七つの教会にも同じことを宣言されました。）主なる神は今もご自分の民に呼びかけて、ご自分のところに立ち返るようにと呼びかけています。（アモスの背景と構造を理解するためにバイブルプロジェクトのアモスビデオを参考にしてください。https://youtu.be/rPhOURANFL8?si=__LcUURdhe2Q_WxW）

Amo 1:2 (NIV84） He said: “The LORD roars from Zion and thunders from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds dry up, and the top of Carmel withers.”

Observation
The book of Amos is a collection of prophetic messages, poems and visions warning Israel of pending judgement and destruction unless they return to the Lord God of Israel. The nation of Israel had divided into two with Judah and Benjamin in the south and the other 10 tribes in the north. The temple of the Lord God was in Jerusalem which was in Judah. Israel had built to false temples in Bethel and Dan to substitute the temple at Jerusalem where they represented the God of Israel with golden calves (see 1King 12:25-33; just like at Mt Sinai, see Exo 32).  This step towards idolatry subsequently led them into the worship of multitudes of idols of the surrounding nations, distorting their understanding and sense of what is right and of justice. The Lord (Adonai, Yahweh) sent Amos to warn and try to bring Israel back to true worship of the Lord God of Israel and to His righteousness and justice.  Even though it is Amos who is speaking to the people of Israel, it is actually the Lord God of Zion and Jerusalem that is speaking (roaring and thundering).  Later Amos says, “The lion has roared— who will not fear? The Sovereign LORD has spoken— who can but prophesy?” (Amos 3:8 NIV84).  Jesus also warned repeatedly, “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!” (Matt 11:15 NLT; also repeated to the churches in Revelations).
