箴言 15:8-9 （新改訳JSS） 悪者のいけにえは主に忌み嫌われ、心の直ぐな人の祈りは主に受け入れられる。9主は悪しき者の道を忌み嫌い、義を追い求める者を愛される。

何が主を喜ばせるのか？何を主が忌み嫌われるのか？いくつか覚えておくべきことがあります。なんでも好き勝手にやって、主にいけにえ（ささげもの、礼拝、奉仕など）をささげても、主はそれを忌み嫌われます。自分勝手な道を歩み主の道を軽んじるものを悪しき者と呼ばれ、神はその道を忌み嫌われます（神が忌み嫌われるものを見てください、箴言6:16-19参照）。しかし、主は正しい者（主の道に歩む者、主を求めて生きる者）の祈りを喜ばれます（ヤコブ 5:16参照）。そして、これを追い求めるもの（主の正しい道に歩む者）を喜ばれます（ミカ6:8参照）。神にもっと愛されるためにできることは何もありません。また、神の愛を遠ざけるものも何もありません。しかし、主の道を選び、その道に歩むときに主は喜ばれます。これこそ父なる神の心を喜ばせます。「ああ主よ、進むべき道を教えてください。正しい小道を示してください」（詩篇25:4 JCB）。

Pro 15:8,9 NIV84  The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him. 9 The LORD detests the way of the wicked but he loves those who pursue righteousness.

Observation

What pleases the Lord?  What displeases the Lord?  Here are a few things to remember.  The Lord despises (hates) those who think they can do anything they want and then just come and offer their sacrifice (money, worship, service etc.) and to please the Lord.  Those who walk in their own way and ignore the way of the Lord are called wicked and the Lord hates their ways (see what God hates: Pro 6:16-19).  But he is pleased with and loves the prayer of the upright (those who walk in his ways, see also Jam 5:16), and those who pursue righteousness (walk rightly in all his ways, see Micah 6:8)  There is nothing that we can do to make God love us more, and there is nothing we can do to make God love us less.  But we can choose to walk in his ways and please the heart of the Father.  “Show me your ways, O Lord,  teach me your paths” (Psa 25:4 NIV84)
