黙示録 9:4 （新改訳JSS2017）　そして彼らは、地の草やどんな青草、どんな木にも害を加えてはならないが、額に神の印を持たない人たちには加えてよい、と言い渡された。

神のさばきは各ラッパがなるごとに勢いを増し、範囲を広げています。しかし、これらのさばきが注ぎ出される前に、神のしもべたちの額に印が付けられるように命じられました（7:3-4,9など参照）。黙示録14:1にはこの印は子羊の名と父なる神の名であるとあります。パウロも私たちは聖霊によって証印が押されていると言っています（エペソ4:30; 1:13など参照）。エゼキエルも預言的にこの守りと贖いの証印が押されていることを見ました（エゼキエル9:4,6参照）。イスラエルがエジプト脱出の時にも神の守りの覆いが見せられました。主はモーセとイスラエルの人々に過ぎ越しの子羊の血を家の門柱とかもいに塗るようにと命じました。それは「主はエジプトを打つために行き巡られる。しかし、鴨居と二本の門柱にある血を見たら、主はその戸口を過ぎ越して、滅ぼす者があなたがたの家に入って打つことのないようにされる」（出エジプト記 12:23 JSS2017）。主なる神はさばきと贖いの神である。そして、それは同時に実行できるのです。不信人な者にさばきを注ぎながら（彼らには別の印が押されているのです、黙示録13:17; 14:11など参照）、しかし、主の名を呼び求める者、主キリストイエスに信頼を置いている者を贖い、救うことができるのです。へブル書も約束しています。「したがってイエスは、いつも生きていて、彼らのためにとりなしをしておられるので、ご自分によって神に近づく人々を完全に（とことんまで）救うことがおできになります」（へブル7:25 JSS2017）。あなたは誰の印を額に持っていますか？

Rev 9:4 NIV84 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

Observation

The judgments of God continue to be poured out and increase in intensity and scope with each trumpet that is sounded.  Before these judgments were poured out, the command had been given to place a seal on the forehead of the servants of God (see Rev 7:3-4,9).  In Rev 14:1 we see that this seal is the name of The Lamb and the Father.   Paul tells us that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption(see Eph 4:30; 1:13). Ezekiel also gives us that same picture of God’s seal of protection and redemption (see Ezek 9:4,6).  During the exodus from Egypt God’s protective cover is also illustrated.  The Lord told Moses and the people of Israel to put the blood of the Passover Lamb on the door posts of their houses so that, “When the LORD goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.” (Exo 12:23 NIV84).  The Lord is a God of judgement and redemption.  He accomplishes both at the same time; judgement on the ungodly and unrepentant (they have another mark, see Rev 13:17; 14:11 etc.), and redemption for those who have turned to him and are called by His name. No matter what happens during these final days of judgement on the earth (for those who reject Christ), the ones who believe on Jesus Christ and trust in his name will be saved and delivered.  Hebrews promises, “Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him.” (Heb 7:25 ESV). Whose seal do you have on your forehead?
