エゼキエル 12:22-23 （新改訳JSS2017）　「人の子よ。あなたがたがイスラエルの地について、『日は延ばされ、すべての幻は消え失せる』と言っている、あのことわざは何なのか。23それゆえ、彼らに言え。『神である主はこう言われる。わたしは、あのことわざをなくす。イスラエルでは、もうそのように言わなくなる。』かえって、彼らにこう告げよ。『その日は近づき、幻のすべては実現する』と。

長い間、主の遣わされた預言者たちはイスラエルの反抗と悪の行いのゆえにさばきが来ると警告されました。しかし、どんどん時が過ぎて、その成就が見られない。人々が言い始めました。「日は延ばされ、すべての幻は消え失せる（むなしくなる〔口語訳〕）。」イエスが天に帰られたとき、主は弟子たちに約束しました。「あなたがたを離れて天に上げられたこのイエスは、天に上って行くのをあなたがたが見たのと同じ有様で、またおいでになります」（使徒の働き 1:11 SKY2017）。しかし、何年も過ぎているのに、まだイエスが帰って来られていない。初代教会の人々の間にも言い始める者がいました。「キリストがまた帰って来るという約束はどうなったのか。この世界は造られた最初の日から何も変わらないではないか。イエスが帰って来るなどということはありえない」（2ペテロ3:4 JCB）。使徒ペテロは続けて説明しました。「再び主がおいでになるという約束がなかなか実現しないので、いったいどうなっているのかと思うかもしれません。しかし主は、いたずらに日を延ばしておられるのではありません。一人でも滅びないように、すべての人が悔い改めるために必要な時間を与えようと、忍耐して待っておられるのです」（2ペテロ 3:9 JCB）。 しかし、いつまでも日が延ばされるのではありません。神が語られたすべてのことばは真実で信頼性があります。必ず成就されます。主はエゼキエルに人々に告げるように言いました。「それゆえ、彼らに言え。『神である主はこう言われる。わたしは、あのことわざをなくす。イスラエルでは、もうそのように言わなくなる。』かえって、彼らにこう告げよ。『その日は近づき、幻のすべては実現する』と。28それゆえ、彼らに言え。『神である主はこう言われる。わたしのすべてのことば、わたしが語ることは、もはや引き延ばされることはなく、必ず成就する──神である主のことば』」（エゼキエル 13:23,28 SKY2017）。主の約束のことばとすべての預言のことばは必ず成就します。「この神こそ、その道は完全であり、主の言葉は真実です。主はすべて寄り頼む者の盾です」（詩篇18:30 口語訳）。

Eze 12:22-23 (NIV84)  “Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel: ‘The days go by and every vision comes to nothing’? 23 Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel.’ Say to them, ‘The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled.

Observation

For so long the prophets from the Lord had been warning of the judgment that God has promised because of Israel’s rebellion and wickedness.  Yet it seems that time keeps going on and there is no fulfillment. The people begin to say, ‘Time passes, and prophecies come to nothing.’ (NLT).  When Jesus returned to heaven, the disciples were promised, “This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11 NIV84).  But years go by and Jesus is not returning. Even then people began to say, “They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” (2Pet 3:4 NIV84). The Apostle Peter goes on to explain, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2Pet 3:9 NIV84).  But it will not always be that way.  God’s word is true and He will absolutely fulfill ever word of prophecy that has been given.  The Lord tells Ezekiel to tell the people, “Tell the people, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will put an end to this proverb, and you will soon stop quoting it.’ Now give them this new proverb to replace the old one: ‘The time has come for every prophecy to be fulfilled!’ 28 Therefore, tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: No more delay! I will now do everything I have threatened. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken!'”  (v.23,28 NLT). Every word of the Lord will come to fulfillment whether of God’s blessing and outpouring of salvation or of judgment.  “God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection.” (Psa 18:30 NLT)
