ローマ 2:28,29 （新改訳SKY2017）　外見上のユダヤ人がユダヤ人ではなく、また、外見上のからだの割礼が割礼ではないからです。29かえって人目に隠れたユダヤ人がユダヤ人であり、文字ではなく、御霊による心の割礼こそ割礼だからです。その人への称賛は人からではなく、神から来ます。

コメント

神はアブラハムとその子孫に対して旧約において特別な契約を結びました（神は契約を守られる方で、今も約束を成就し果されます）。しかし、新約において、すべてイエスを信じる者に同じアブラハムの子孫とされ、アブラハムの契約の約束にあずかる者としてくださいました（ローマ9:8；ガラテヤ 3:7も参照）。それは肉的な子孫としての関係ではなく、イエス・キリストに対する信仰のゆえに神との関係を持っています。「ですから、信仰によって生きる人々こそアブラハムの子である、と知りなさい。9ですから、信仰によって生きる人々が、信仰の人アブラハムとともに祝福を受けるのです」（ガラテヤ3:7,9 SKY2017）。そしてアブラハムの子孫とされているゆえにアブラハムとその子孫に対する約束にも預かるのです。「それは、アブラハムへの祝福がキリスト・イエスによって異邦人に及び、私たちが信仰によって約束の御霊を受けるようになるためでした」（ガラテヤ 3:14 SKY2017）。

Rom 2:18, 28,29 NIV84  if you know his will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law; 28 A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. 29 No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man’s praise is not from men, but from God.

Observation

Although God established a special covenant with the seed of Abraham especially in the OT (and God is a covenant keeping God who continues to fulfill his promises to them), but the Lord has opened the way for all who believe in Jesus to become “children of Abraham” (see Rom 9:8; Gal 3:7 etc.).  It is not just because of physical lineage that we have a relationship with God but because of our faith in Jesus Christ. “Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham. 9 So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.” (Gal 3:7,9 NIV84).  Because we are the seed of Abraham, we have the promises made to Abraham and his seed. “He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.” (Gal 3:14 NIV84)
