エゼキエル 39:22,25,29 （新改訳SKY17）　その日以降、イスラエルの家は、わたしが彼らの神、主であることを知る。25 それゆえ、神である主はこう言われる。「今、わたしはヤコブを回復させ、イスラエルの全家をあわれむ。これは、わが聖なる名への、わたしのねたみによる。29 わたしは二度と、わたしの顔を彼らから隠すことはない。わたしの霊をイスラエルの家の上に注ぐからである──神である主のことば。」

コメント
エゼキエルの預言はユダヤ人の残りの者がエルサレムとユダヤに戻ったときに限定的に一部分成就しましたが、この個所の完全な成就はまだ未来に待っているものです。主の心と願いは自分の民をご自分のところに引き戻し、約束の地に連れ戻し、始めからの計画と目的を果たし、イスラエルが主なる神の愛、いつくしみ、恵み、心をすべての国の人々に示すことでしたが、イスラエルが主を、主のメシヤを拒絶し背を向けても、なお、主の計画と目的を成就へと進ませています。選びの民をも忘れておられません。パウロはこのように説明しています。「兄弟たち。あなたがたが自分を知恵のある者と考えないようにするために、この奥義を知らずにいてほしくはありません。イスラエル人の一部が頑なになったのは異邦人の満ちる時が来るまでであり、26 こうして、イスラエルはみな救われるのです。「救い出す者がシオンから現れ、ヤコブから不敬虔を除き去る。27これこそ、彼らと結ぶわたしの契約、すなわち、わたしが彼らの罪を取り除く時である」と書いてあるとおりです。」(ローマ 11:25-27 SKY17)。パウロはこの説明の最後にこのように宣言しています。「神は、すべての人を不従順のうちに閉じ込めましたが、それはすべての人をあわれむためだったのです。33ああ、神の知恵と知識の富は、なんと深いことでしょう。神のさばきはなんと知り尽くしがたく、神の道はなんと極めがたいことでしょう。36すべてのものが神から発し、神によって成り、神に至るのです。この神に、栄光がとこしえにありますように。アーメン。」(ローマ 11:32-36 SKY17)。これこそ、主なる神の究極的愛といつくしみの現れです。（エゼキエル39：7,22,28 など参照）。「これらの出来事を通して主はご自分の民を懲らしめ、赦し、贖うことによってご自分の栄光を現す神であることを見ることができます。国々はイスラエルの歴史は究極的には神の御性質を物語っていることがわかるようになります。同じように主なる神は私たち、神の民をも取り扱い、ご自分の聖さ、あわれみ、栄光をこれを見ている全世界にあらわされます。」（リビングライフ 8/14、英語版）。

Ezk 39:22,25,29 ESV  The house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God, from that day forward. 25 “Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name. 29  And I will not hide my face anymore from them, when I pour out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, declares the Lord GOD.”

Observation
Although Ezekiel’s prophecy was fulfilled in a very small and limited measure with the return of a few remnant Jews, this passage is still waiting the Lord God’s complete fulfillment.  The Lord’s heart and desire is still to bring his people back to himself, back to the their land of promise and back to being a people that reflect His love, grace and heart not only to Israel but to all the people of the earth. God’s desire and plan was to use His people Israel to bring the rest of the world back to Himself, but when they rejected the Lord and His Messiah, The Lord caused his plan and purpose to continue going forward, but He has not forgotten nor forsaken His own chosen people, Israel.  Paul explains it this way, “Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; 27 “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” (Rom 11:25-27 ESV). Paul concludes his explanation of God’s plan and purpose for Israel by saying, “ For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all. 33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! 36  For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” (Rom 11:32,33,36 ESV). This is the ultimate expression of the Goodness and Lovingkindness of our Lord God. (See Ezek 39:7, 22, 28 etc.)  “Through these acts, He reveals His glory as the Lord who disciplines, forgives, and redeems His people. The nations will come to understand that Israel’s story is ultimately about God’s character.  In the same way, God’s dealings with His people today reveal His holiness, mercy and glory to the watching world.”　(Living Life Reflections 8/14)
